BANDBOX UPDATE: 4,300 Out Of 6,000 Orders MIGHT Get Shipped!

Vinyl record retailer Bandbox sent out a new email in early May 2024 about their Assignment For The Benefit of Creditors (aka not a bankruptcy, but close). It appears they have lined up a buyer. Today, I dig into what that email says, what the legal documents say, and some quite surprising revelations. If you are a Bandbox customer with one or more unfulfilled orders, you'll want to watch this video!

4300 records to 6000 people, that doesn’t exactly mean only 4300 people, especially if they’re like you and I, and had ordered multiple albums. This has been very informative, hopefully we get our albums.

I believe it was 4300 out of about 6000 orders, which totals about 8000 albums, but I'd need to dig deeper (and revisit the applicable spots in my video) to confirm these numbers. Since this video went up, the June court date came and passed, and the sale was approved. However, I have not received any further communication from Bandbox or "Vinylbox" with information about the status of any outstanding unfulfilled orders.
