That machine can eat!!! I'd like to take every crepe myrtle and wax ligustrum in my hometown and run them through that chipper. Thanks for the video.

Tim. Love your videos. I saw you putting limbs in the chipper without a helmet on. Even more important, you didnt have safety glasses on. One of those limbs change position and take out an eye, or cause a head injury. Please, please protect your self, family, and those of us who really like you.

Good for you, you commented on the one time I’ve ever seen him without 100% of his gear on. Thank you so much for your insightful and timely comment. What would we do without ppl like yourself? 😂

Good thing you moved the truck. I’m sure it wouldn’t have been near as funny as when the limb fell thru Derrick’s windshield!!🤣🤣🤣

Reminds me of the days of working for the big orange tree company along the power lines of Southern Appalachia. Minus the excavator all done by grunt work then.

That is tough when you gotta grunt it all to the chipper and then feed it.

That is a beast of a machine! It is amazing how much material it will process in a short amount of time. I have a 7” chipper and it too will eat a lot of material.

I believe though I might be wrong that you can apply continuous down pressure on. The feed rollers which generally helps it feed better. Food for thought

I guess these new chippers are energy and epa compliant, but this one is much slower feed than my old chuck and duck with 24" x 20" chipper head and 1800 lb flywheel. It took almost any tree or log put in it and it went clear thru with out stalling. Problem was small slash was difgicult to feed, and training people to run it was difficult . lt I could process more per day, but you were beat due to no feed wheels. Im wondering the horepower rating of this engine and estimated process in discharge rate? I still do tree trimming /falling/logging but most of my work is general engineering and civil work. Love your videos, and hope you can ask my questions. Sempher fi

Really? What make? I have a soft spot for C&D's, especially those with V8 power(120+ horsepower). I thought that the manufacturers did not make them beyond 10"x16" versions. I really would love to see your machine.

I once saw a brushcutter who had a very unusual machine. He had a old airport fuel tanker with the back cut off and his chipper resembled a hydraulic machine, but if you saw it, there was no box for the feed wheels. The chips that this machine put out were thick and fluffy, like with a typical chuck and duck. It was painted blue and the engine cowling looked like it was for a V8.

@@linkbeltdemolitiondude1219 i believe it was a wookchuck brand made by veneer. At least they had parts for it. Knives, bearings, clutch parts etc. It had a 6 cylinder ford diesel with 1800 lb flywheel that kept it running thru big logs. The added size of throat and knives made it easier to feed slash besides the large logs we feed into it. Plus it had discharge chute that was hydralicly adjustable up,down, and sideways both ways. But that appeared to be added on by previous owner. Had to sell due to california epa laws. Looking for a new one now

@@tomyousch7070 Woodchucks used to be a good machine. A contractor bought up new machines after they sold out to altec 48 to 85 hp. Very pitiful watching them.
