that giant serpent was slain by the musou no hitotachi and the "valley of death" you called was what remains of the island splitting slash from the raiden shogun that killed it, you can see the damage it did if you open the map

If you open de map you can see the bones and the direction its body is disposed. You can follow he trail froom the head to the tail

Kokomi is an all-rounder character,she can be a healer and a dps...which is pretty OP tbh,her damage output during her burst is huge if built right :3

Woah that archery challenge really was fast and accurate and i thought i was The Flash. . That Serpent's name's Orobashi you might learn more about it in Enkanomiya. Also you can see its skeleton and the strike that took it out on the map.

In the Chinese speech for 24:10 onward. Gorou said "He joined the resistance, and now he's now under my banner, I will not give him up to you" Which imo, is the better translation, as he's not protecting a stranger who share the same ideal, but one of his soldiers under him.

@@pochu9506 one is a friend, another put emphasis on "he's my underling" “部下” One is a comrade, another put some weight on how he have hierarchical responsibility over the fate/directions of the traveller. When I watch the original dub, I felt like I'm protected by my "superiors", like a drill sergeant or the commander, With English dub, it felt more like "I'm a part of the team" It's not quite the same feeling.

@@pochu9506 No, I'm protected by my superiors. In ways which Gorou, who have command and authority over you, refuse to surrender you to the enemies even when at overwhelming disadvantage. Like in Spiderman, J.J. Jameson stand up and try to protect Peter Parker would feel far more powerful than Harry standing up for Peter. One being a superior, another being a buddy.

With the resistance, you really feel the fact that the story was rushed.

Yeah, it ends up feeling more like you visited the resistance rather than joining and helping them. I can't help but wonder if it got rushed because of the initial outbreak of COVID. What makes me think that is that during the 2.0 Special Program livestream, they talked about how difficult it was working on the Inazuma soundtrack with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra solely via the internet because of the pandemic. It made me realize that Inazuma was probably mostly made with the developers working from home, which would've slowed them down.

The champion duel before a battle is not about truly replacing army battle, superior on both side won't approve of that. Imagine reporting to your shogun that your army, twice the size of the enemy, lost because you decided to engage in champion duel. It's mostly for morale purpose, showcasing how good their champions are.
