I watched a YT video recently where the Burkina Faso military used Turkish made drones to track and wipe our terrorists. Even in the woods, the drones could still pick up the heat signature of the terrorists and created visibility for bombardments. I was shocked with the technical expertise and capability of Burkinabe's military. I started questioning why the Nigerian military can't do the same or better, considering the resources available to the nation.

Goes to show that there seems to be some sympathy towards the insurgents and terrorists in the military rank and file. The loss of the two MRAPs is painful. It goes to show poor coordination and collaboration within the military. 1. The moment those vehicles or unit was deployed to combat zone, air support should have been on standby to bring in reinforcement or evacuate critically wounded men. 2. Why was Army Engineers not brought in to salvage the vehicles? 3. Even if it would take a while to fly in the Engineers, why din't the army reinforce the unit on the ground and hold the position until help comes, rather they scampered and left behind equipment worth over N3.5bn to be torched by insurgents. 3. Why was Airforce not engaged to deter/delay the insurgents from attacking the trapped MRAPs and men on ground at least until the army engineers arrive to salvage the MRAPs? 4. Why are we so fast at abandoning expensive equipment, yet we cry that the military is properly funded and equipped?
