Your opening statements were correct "Band-maid are incredible. That was a great reaction to a fantastic performance. This was from their live Tokyo Garden Theatre performance, 8000 crowd so slowly but surely building up theie fanbase which they deserve as such a hard working band. I like they have done it the "old fashoined way", constant touring and travelling in Japan, the USA , Europe\UK. Playing in very small venues (one even had a pillar in the centre of the stage), gradually honing their craft constantly evolving and getting better and better. In the process they have gelled as a cohesive professional unit but have also bonded on the personal level. Their lives are oftem more energetic and often Kanami's guitar work is more clear/upfront on these. Here she is riffing the whole song behind Saiki's great vocals, as well as her out and out solos. The whole band are great and to me Kanami is a phenomenom

That song is a fanfavorite for a long time and still my favorite song by far... Everything they do is great, but this is THE standout song for me personally! Kanami is going OFF in this song!

There is an acoustic version floating around where it's just Kanami on guitar and background vocals, with Saiki singing. It's slowed down and with the lyrics, it takes on a whole new meaning. I'm so glad they keep this song in their rotation! Such a great song!

every version of puzzle is incredible, this one however is a little more special as it is different as a result of Miku's increased talent at guitar. her improvement has meant Kanami has been able to give over more of the guitar melodies to miku freeing Kanami to create new sections and basic business for herself. now interestingly they have said they are going to be doing this same thing to some of their older songs hopefully we might get an "updated" greatest hits of a sort of album

What has been captivating me ever since hearing this magnificent song is, that Kanami is pretty much riffing the entire time. As if she told Miku: You keep it crunchy and I will go nuts and then she put an album's worth of riffs into just one song. 🤩

The ladies have reached such a level of musicianship that a live performance doesn't need a lot of post-production cleanup. Just put it out there because dadgummit, it's AWESOME. I can watch/listen to this vid for hours and just smile, shake my head, and sit in awe of how talented these ladies are. The song is from the Just Bring It album, but this performance is from 2023 and is a eagerly anticipated official live version! Band-Maid is releasing this whole concert on a dvd/blu-ray this month, as a Maidiac, I of course have it ordered! This song and "Moritorum" are top favorites from Band-Maid!

Cool. I'm glad your channel is back. Puzzle is one of my favorite songs. There's a cool acoustic duet version with Kanami singing harmony for Saiki. But especially, you NEED to react to Band Maid's recent MV, From Now On. They actually released an MV of an instrumental. How gutsy is that? They bring everything they've got.

Band-Maid has several live recordings of "Puzzle". This latest TGT mix is truly excellent and the arrangement is based off the original studio recording, but as is usual with Band-Maid's live recordings, it feeds off the energy of performing live. "Puzzle" is in my 'top ten' list of Band-Maid songs, and it is worth noting that they must really love this song because I've heard them do a hybrid acoustic/electric full band version and a super minimalist stripped down version where Kanami plays acoustic and softly sings back-up to Saiki. "Puzzle" is one of Miku's 'psychological' songs and how it is performed can dramatically alter it's meaning. In the hard rock versions the vocals express frustration and anger, but in the acoustic versions Saiki's vocals express sorrow and self recrimination. It is worth viewing all the versions of "Puzzle" - it shows Band-Maid at their creative best and shows them experimenting with tone. There is a version where Saiki and Kanami play as a duet, Saiki singing morosely with Kanami perfectly backing her up with her guitar and her meek, childlike vocals (YES! Kanami sings!)

The best song written from the perspective of the "other woman" (or "other man" for that matter) ever written. This is the song that made me realize that Miku is not only the creator and driving force of this band, she's an amazing lyricist. At first I listen without the lyrics on screen, so I can really listen to the song, but then I switch on the lyrics. This aspect of the greatness of the band, and Miku's talent in particular, is too often overlooked.

It’s great music with a sad story. A woman has an affair with a married man, falls in love but has to let him go to his family. She feels he is the last piece to complete her puzzle, which the lyrics refer to as falling apart. Miku is a brilliant lyricist.

Most of Band-Maid's music gives each instrument a turn at the front. But as you said, the first half at least, everyone comes out blazing. Conversely the lyrics are about having your mind and heart in conflict. ~ I shouldn't love him, but I can't help myself. ~

There’s a 2017 live concert Studio Coast) that has an amazing performance of Puzzle. This newest performance is fantastic. The lyrics are rather heartbreaking and Saiki sings the hard rocking versions with some resentment and attitude. There is a live acoustic version performed by Saiki and Kanami only, that is truly beautiful in a sad, melancholic manner. Puzzle is a well crafted heavy song, and all versions are worth listening to.

Yes you are correct , this is a release from there Tokyo Gardens show , they are Fantastic live , I saw them on there recent U.S. tour in Oct 2022 in Seattle WA , it was an Amazing performance , 18 song set with Mc breaks , Miku doing her magic spell time n the other Band members having fun with the audience , Saiki n Kanami giving Japanese phrase lessons , Akane eating a banana , MISA drinking her beer , in the Puzzle video , MISA !!! MISA !!! MISA !!! has a new Axe to add to her Bass Armory , Luv your reactions lookin good Charlene with the new hair do .

It's almost strange seeing them with so much space between them. I was them last year at a venue that had maybe 300 people in it. It was amazing... but they absolutely deserve the venues and larger crowds. The light show for this looks cool as well. It has been discussed how the sound from this song/show was a bit off from their usual. Kanami can be heard much more and Misa not as much.

"Puzzle" was originally an instrumental, but Saiki liked it and asked Miku to write lyrics for it. This was one of first songs I heard by them about 6 years ago. Difference - Miku on her guitar, she barely played it in the earlier version. 2 things amaze me, Kanami playing lead for the entire song and trying to figure out when Saiki breaths in some parts of the song. Oops, and Misa is killing it!! Love Miku's backing vocals!
