Bandol is a city located in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in the Var department on the Mediterranean coast. It is located between the two cities of 45 km from Marseille and 15 km from Toulon. Its area is almost 8.5 km2, and the population in 2019 is 8,403 people.
The history of the city dates back well before the 15th century. A town of tuna trap fishers, which became known in the 19th century thanks to its wine from the Bandol AOC appellation. Which is exported in large quantities from the port of Bandol.

It is a corridor wind, from the northwest to the north, very cold in winter and often violent, which affects the north of the western Mediterranean basin. It can reach more than 100 km/h in the plain, especially in the lower Rhone Valley. During this period, the feeling of the temperature drops by 5-10°. On thermometer it is 12° but the feeling is 2°.
The swimming season starts gradually in May and ends at the end of October. From mid-July to mid-August it is the hottest period of the whole summer. The summer season starts with the start of the school holidays and ends at the end of August. But it must be very mild in September and October that the beaches and the sea also attract people.
The Nautical Club of Bandol located at the Central beach offers paddle rental, private, individual or group lessons in sailing and catamaran or windsurfing. For sports competitions Bandol has been elected "stage city" of the Tour de France à la Voile several times in summer and the Triathlon de Bandol has existed since 2015.
The town hall of the city of Bandol schedules cultural and summer activities in July and August of each year. Opposite the island of Bandor which belongs to the Paul Ricard group and its famous drink, Pastisse. Like all seaside resorts Bandol has a casino that has existed since 1930.
