Thank you for sharing your guide for beginners. I'm pretty sure I watched it before, but videos like this are absolutely priceless-so thank you, my brother! I’m also very close to finishing the biggest project I’ve ever taken on-my feed table with a flipped mitre saw station. As promised, I’ll send you all the photos once it’s done. Take care, matey!

Great intro' to the world of bandsaws. I've got the humble Aldi Workzone 8 inch bandsaw that I picked up for £49. I have to be honest, I've not really used it that much, as it is a real swine to set up correctly. Replacing the blade last year, really made a difference. I guess, with the cost of material nowadays, I have been a bit skittish about trashing my dwindling supply of hardwood if the blade goes on walkabout, as is its want. Once again, thanks for taking the time to share!👍

Thanks, Hmm I'm actually glad I've invested in this bandsaw I got. Although I wish now I even went for the 14inch version. Fortunately I got a healthy stack of hardwood, although I'm struggling with sheet materials. That's why I'm taking down old cupboards, beds etc to at least get some veneered chip board for some projects 🤣

A thorough overview Thomasz. I love the bandsaw and agree it’s a very versatile tool. It is a relatively safe tool but still needs to be used with great care especially when cutting smaller pieces (I have followed through with my thumb but was very lucky to get away with a shallow cut only). I look forward to the bandsaw tuning video. Cheers 👍😎🇦🇺

A bandsaw is a great tool to have. This Friday I'm posting a video on how to tune up a bandsaw, change the blade and set it up correctly 👍

Good overview Tomasz, my Rutlands bandsaw has a lot of similar features to yours, but smaller capacity. Currently the LED lamp keeps flashing like a strobe, so need to get that fixed. Looking forward to part 2 👍

Yes they are all usually very similar, video coming out this Friday 😁👍

Great video again Tomasz but you really do need a new blade in that saw 🤦♂️ It looked like it was burning it’s way through the wood 😂

As a budget option (IMHO) the Titan bandsaw from Screwfix is a good option, adding an Axminster fence absolutely transforms the saw (in terms of accuracy) into a very capable machine, the fences always seem to be the weak point on budget bandsaws, as with any bandsaw at this price point also allow for a decent quality blade, 'Tuffsaw' blades are really great I have found
@CasualDIY2 жыл бұрын
I have to say all the Titan tools are decent quality. I got the pillar drill and the jointer/ thicknesser.

Great video, I thought the size (10 inch or 250mm) referred to the wheel size, so slightly more than the throat ?
@CasualDIY2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the saw but yes its usually larger than the depth of cut

Thanks, I had it for few years now and I bought it for around £300 now I think its around £400

It's way too small.. Minimum 12" Minimum one horsepower.. I had a 10" I outgrew it within one year and was frustrated with it. Now I have a grizzly 17" 2 horsepower. Very happy with it you are very unlimited with it.
