@CasualDIY14 сағат бұрын
It is because different options are setup in Image Mode - Grayscale allows you to set min and max, Jarvis wont allow that.

Corn-cob bits are really only made for circuit-boards and hard/fiber-reinforced materials, a 1 or 2 or 3 flute endmill(carbide) is what you want for wood/plastics or even metal with much shallower doc and different feeds/speeds(even a regular router-bit is better for all but the hardest of woods and with the right feed/speed and doc + some lube they will also work for non-ferrous metals). A trim-router is also a WAY better spindle as it is more rigid(limited shank diameters but generally 1/8" 1/4" and 8mm collets are available for most routers), has more rotational mass(essentially inertia/gyro stabilization...) + more power(less likely to change speed due to load on bit/end-mill).

@2010stoofКүн бұрын
@@CasualDIY yes you can have good Chinese and bad Chinese. When my dad was young that's how it was for Japanese stuff. Now most of there stuff is regarded as awesome. But yes it depends who owns the factory and what the quality standards are. I bought a small 6 pack. Supposed to be 1/2" shank according to sku number but was listed as 1/4". We will see. And for $10 USD for 6 bits worth a shot. They had a crazy coupon for some reason. Normal price was $16

Have you run into any issues with framing in lightburn? It’s been inconsistent for me. Even after toggling config, sometimes it just doesn’t want to show.

There are no issues so far, just setup the power output for framing and make sure the framing option is enabled in lightburn, and it should work just fine.

Interesting clamps. Especially for the discount price. Is there a way to pay for Banggood products at the time of receiving? In the past I ordered a few things at Banggood, paying in advance. Not a problem, most of the time. But two times I experienced that things didn't come to me. The first time I claimed it, and received it a few weeks later. The second time I claimed as well, but nothing arrived. So money away and no goods. In the video I noticed the clamp has some visible screws. Is it possible to take the clamp apart? You might try it and make a video of it. Maybe it's possible to replace the short pipe by a longer one. Or when the clamp is totally taken apart it shows, that it is possible to make this kind of clamps yourself. Maybe not as nice for the eye., but for sure even far more cheaper than the 11 quid you paid for it.
@CasualDIY13 күн бұрын
@hansdegroot8549 I'm not sure if they allow payments like that, to be honest. It seems you can take it apart, and you should be able to swap the pipe for a longer one. Could do a follow-up video on that 👍

Bought some back in 2023 branded as CDIYTOOL sold through Amazon by ‘Subscribe’. Trouble! Out of 4 supposed to be 19mm, one was 20mm although badged as 19, and was even too large for a 20mm hole without forcing and twisting. I sourced another four and decided to send the whole first order with the wrong one back. First the returns process tried to make me print off a return label to the factory in China…posted at my expense! Then, after getting in touch with ‘Subscribe’ they consented to sending me one new 19mm clamp (which did fit). So now I have Eight of these and since Subscribe wouldn’t enter into a full money back return for all four of their batch, I now have more clamps and less money than I intended. So much for Amazon’s promise of 30 days returnable…only if the issuing company is prepared to honour the condition it seems, huh! As for clamp efficacy…well they do work, but you must have some slop in the bench dog hole to enable the clamp shaft to lean back or it won’t bite to the bench. They are ok for thin‘ish material, but the clamping force does not match a proper F clamp or Kwikclamp.
