John. Maybe it's an illusion caused by the camera angle, but the columns (at 4.11 minutes) look a lot narrower than 10cm ? I'm enjoying this series very much, thank you, as I'm just about to embark on making this bandsaw having possessed the plans for too long. It's now time for the thinking to be converted to action !

Hmm. Did you mean the bit about "final dimension of 11.2"? It must indeed be the camera angle. It was actually 11.8 cm.

I take back all I said. I've just looked again. I still see the column (the 10cm dimension) as too narrow. But a couple of times when I look away and look back I can see it's correct. Must be a combination of the camera angle, the 45deg 'corners' and my aging eyes. Sorry to have troubled you.
