The problem with the Celtics is that they've won so much from the beginning. My Grandad was a die hard from the day the team started in the '40s, then they won the 11 through the late '50s-'60s, so he heard bandwagon shit back then. My pops was a fan because of my granpa so he heard the bandwagon stuff for the 10 plus the 5 titles through the '70s-'80s. I came up through the '90s and was a fan for 16 years before winning in '08 but still heard bandwagon shit for the 16 before i was even born. Its understandably tough to convince people youre a legit die hard of a team that has won so much.

That's what I was thinking. I have no memory of some of my favorite team's players in college because either they were a one and done or were out of my local conference. The only reason I know where they went is because it's a point of trivia. Still, Tatum's a pretty big miss. Most people who watched college basketball in that time would've seen a Duke game. Duke's perennially in the top 5 to 10 nationally.

Baseball goes back to the 1800's and it was essentially a different league, and football only had a handful of teams in the beginning. No one claims their rings are void after x amount of years.
