@honeybunmraz Sad story. Very sad story. I had 3rd row tickets when she opened for Mraz in 2008. I listened to her and her band then left. Mraz couldn't top what I had just witnessed. They're all so quaint and humble that Mraz just couldn't compare with his "look at me I'm over the top" style. Music is finest when it is at it's simplest form, humility.

I love her. I saw her in Grand Prairie, Texas in 2008 and I didn't appreciate her. The entire time, I was just like "WHEN IS MRAZ GONNA COME ON?" And then, my Grandpa's girlfriend got her cd after the concert, and I burned it. Then, I fell in love. Her music just echoes my soul. So beautiful.

I've seen her perform twice now this year (Belfast, London) and my love for her only increases every time I see such videos...thanks for posting this! She's such a rare talent. We are blessed to have her write and perform in this era of trashy popular music. She is a gem.

I studied in Derry for a semester where this was filmed. I eventually got this tattooed on my wrist about all of the amazing friends I made in Europe. Golden memories, really.

When I was young and did not have to pay for anything vital like rent, utilities, food, clothing, etc, I was all about music for the sake of music. Married to a struggling musician who make pennies off his amazing, heartfelt song, is difficult because I see the joy he sees when people enjoy his talents, but I see his pain when we are trying to budget and figure out how we are going to make ends meet...

Such a raw, organic, natural voice. It flows from her lips with ease, at hits the eardrums like a pleasant breath. I've had the pleasure of seeing her perform with Damien Rice live, and cannot wait to see her perform under her own name.

I did not even think about that!! And I'm usually accused of being too business minded, haha. Thanks for the friendly jab-- his band is "Don't Forget Your Shoes", and his name is Peter Batemon. If you search his name, you'll see some of the songs he wrote away from the band-- Our World is New, Back to the Start, etc. :D

What you at my gentie spoken friend I lack a frame to put you in When you're an ocean and a rock away I feel you in the pocket of my overcoat My fingers wrap around your words And take the shape of games we play I feed your words through my buttonholes I pin them to my fingerless gloves, green and prone to fraying Thoughts of you, warm my bones I'm on the way I'm on the phone Lets get lost, me and you An ocean and a rock is nothing to me I am far away from where you lay Awake the day while you fall to sleep An ocean and a rock away I keep you in the pockets of my dresses And the bristles of my brushes spin You into my curls today I spoon you into my coffee cup Spin you through a delicate wash I wear you all day, I wear you all day Thoughts of you, warm my bones I'm on the way I'm on the phone Lets get lost, me and you An ocean and a rock is nothing to me Thoughts of you, you warm my bones I'm on the way, I'm nearly home Lets get lost, me and you An ocean and a rock is nothing to me

@honeybunmraz It is a option in Windows Media so that you can back up and play your own music that you purchased, not a cd that your Grandfather's girlfriend bought. You did not buy the cd. You did not pay the artist. Who has lack of respect for the singer of the song now?
@mitchbuchannon88999 жыл бұрын
Is that the Craft Market in Derry????
@MD_Slaine13 жыл бұрын
@honeybunmraz I don't have to ask an artist if they enjoy not being paid for their work. I'm sure they are not happy that the cd they invested in can now be freely distributed to every friend, family member and boyfriend's grand daughter.
@honeybunmraz13 жыл бұрын
@arseymcpherson I'm pretty sure it's fine. otherwise windows media wouldn't have that option.

Not really, I neither ripped it or uploaded it. I don't think you're a copyright lawyer, so I'll take your comment under advisement.

@arseymcpherson Then why is that an option on windows media, to copy the cd to my computer? Also I appreciate your lack of respect for the singer of this song, by commenting with your rude and accusatory language. I listen to it from the legal rights of the cd we bought, thank you very much. And I don't need you telling me otherwise. I'm not copying the cd and reproducing it for sale, so there's no problem.

@arseymcpherson That isn't lack of respect. If Lisa personally were to say "hey. I don't appreciate that. That hurts me as a musician, and I would rather have a fan go without my music, just because she doesn't have the money to pay for a cd at the time, and I'd rather her pay me now or never. Could you either go buy my music or delete everything of mine you have?" then I would graciously delete everything, and start anew. The problem is, the industry doesn't listen to the artist enough. and...
@honeybunmraz13 жыл бұрын
@arseymcpherson ask them whether or not they mind their music getting listened to, just for the sake of music itself, or what. The industries are too busy most often, to even give their artist that luxury, and frankly I don't care. My relationship is with music itself. And generally the artists I listen to are only in it for the love of music, and the love of love. So, I have plenty of respect for the singer, and don't you ever get that wrong. Thanks. Use your time spent elsewhere, goodbye.

@arseymcpherson Then I don't have to ask an artist that either. I see where you are coming from with the whole financial side of it. But I'm not about finances and music. and most good artists aren't either. If you had at least 75% of the respect that I have for you and your opinion, then you'll understand that and stop. This is degrading this video, and it's not appropriate. I'm not commenting back. Goodbye.
