This episode was the best in the whole season, which I hate so far. The comedy is on point, it’s like I am watching season 1 again.

I actually quite like this season much more than season 3. I feel like the writers understood the flaws of the last season, and started focusing on less characters, so the story has a smoother progression. Last season was kinda all over the place 😅 Nothing beats season one, of course, but in their defense, it is difficult keeping a show good season after season as you can only work on the protagonists arcs so much: season 1 Harley learned about moving on and finding herself away from Joker, season 2 Harley focuses on her relationship with Ivy romantically, season 3 is focused on Harley's identity whether or not she's a villainess or hero, and season 4 seems to focus on work life balance. (This is a simplification). As a writer, I understand how difficult it is to stretch something too thin. You can't really make the characters relearn what they once did, or else fans would be upset and that ruins their development
