As someone who is not only a survivor of sexual trauma and harassment, but also of prolonged sexual abuse from my ex boyfriend, this hit home for me. This was really helpful for me as I'm struggling with my trauma. I suffered from a different type of trauma to the one discussed in here (I'm a survivor of domestic abuse (which is basically any form of abuse from a family member)), but I felt myself relating to a lot of the conversations because my abuser was someone I loved and trusted and respected.

@@taky1329 unfortunately for me recovery is hard because the people around me try to gaslight me into thinking that I don't have trauma and that I don't have PTSD... I can very much vouch for the fact that I have trauma and have PTSD... This is the reason I have a hard time trusting people... I just think that they'll gaslight me on everything (before anyone comes at me, yes I know gaslighting can be a form of trauma for some people... I'm yet to work out whether it's a trauma or not for me)

Today it will be 23 years since it happened. But I still remember it like yesterday. I was 16, and thought I could trust my friends stepdad. I am mostly healed by it, but it still affects my relationships. At least at first, and also when I am around older men.

I know this video has been out for a while but I just wanted to thank you for making this. I dealt with an incident more recently and it’s just so much for me to handle. I feel like I can’t say a word about it or give any hint at all about what happened. It’s just such a painful experience. This video is definitely a nice silent way of getting comfort, it has certain phrases in it that comforted me a lot that I now think of when I get bad memories from what happened, I just feel so guilty and ashamed and I just keep blaming myself for everything that happened. Just thank you so much for making this video, you’re truly an amazing person.
