I grew up in the same area and era as these guys. Southside in the 80's was a dangerous time where you were either predator or prey due to the way drugs ravaged our community. Your name and your rep was all you had and we defended it with our lives, even if you weren't in the streets you had to be able to handle your self because people were willing to take advantage of anybody they felt they could, so when people had quick tongues we responded quickly because if we didn't we'd be forever a victim.

I saw this fellas response to Smurfs interview and I was really impressed with how he held it down and he gave his side of things in a very clear and concise manner. Left no detail out and I definitely believe his version. He has obviously grown as a man because he didnt jump up and come across as a gangster beating his chest yet I get the feeling this man can switch it up at the drop of a hat and Smurf didnt sound like he wanted to play when the time mattered.
