Bang & Olufsen Beo 4 TV Remote Control Restoration. Replacement LCD Screen. Battery Cover Removal.

Hi Folks,
Here's a look at a modern design classic - the Beo 4 Remote Control from Bang & Olufsen.
This iconic controller had over 20 years of grime and a smashed LCD screen. The TV it controls is immaculate - so it would be remiss of us not to restore the Beo 4 to it's former glory!
Join me as I demonstrate the tricky battery cover removal, dissasenble the unit for a deep clean and polish - and replace the LCD screen with a brand new unit!

I owned a beovision 3, it was a fantastic tv, I also have a spare basically unused beo4 remote control, I keep this as a spare for my B & O 9000 system, superb equipment, great video and very well guided through the disassemble and reassemble process. 👌👍

Thanks for the vid , been so tempted to open the remote but my problem is my remote does not have 9 options . Looks the same apart from all I have is TV-ON (where LIGHT is ) middle row then MENU middle row and STAND , middle row . Tv is beo vision 10-40 9553 . Have not been able to find one remote the same maybe I have the wrong one

Thanks for watching. I would imagine they are very similar inside. Certainly the way the buttons work, pub arrangement etc. will be similar. It might be worth a look inside if it doesn't work - nothing to lose!
