I'm always so curious when people say they could have been as big as bts! Why, in your opinion? I'm genuinely curious, as I started listening to kpop in 2020 thanks to bts and always loved their first releases, when they were young and "raw". And I always read around that b.a.p. and bts had similar styles back in the early '10s, but I wasn't around at that time and I'd die to experiment that period of time!!!

@joon-rkive hi I'm not OP and haven't been around that long BUT from what I know they kind of WERE bts back then? like before there was bts there was bap with the aggressive edgy badboyish concept and the meaningful self written lyrics about real world issues, and when they debuted they were THE rookie group they were bigger than exo (bts eventually took their place as exo's competition when bap dropped out during the year long lawsuit hiatus, filling the hole in the industry that bap left behind and attracting a lot of bap fans whose fave group had just disappeared) bts are where they are now due to an incredible combo of talent, luck (being there doing the right thing at the right time when the gap opened up), and the overall conditions in the industry at that time, a combo that probably can never be replicated again by any group, but if not for the lawsuit taking bap off the map at the end of 2014 it could have been them instead. this is all secondhand knowledge coming from someone who only got into kpop in 2018 though so may be wrong haha 😊

The lyrics are so relatable, it feels like it’s written just for us fans and themselves, who are always beside each other. I’m a 2nd gen fan and grew up listening to several of their songs… it’s really amazing to hear them sing again in 2024… so much time has gone by but it still feels like yesterday was just their comebacks. When B.A.P disbanded I was so sad, I got no mood for kpop anymore, B.A.P was the only kpop group I really adored. After the disband I literally stopped watching kpop. Now I'm married and have two kids. Watching this video only make me cried in happines, really they deserve the best.

I was there at the Best Buy Theater when BAP played their first show in New York in May of 2013. It was my first ever concert. It was also the first ever kpop concert in that location. BAP opened the door for artist after artist to follow them with concerts of their own (and follow them they did! B1A4, Ukiss, BTS!) They ushered in the 3rd generation with their debut in 2012 alongside Exo and Nu'est. With Warrior alone, they fundamentally shifted the direction of the kpop genre in a way that left other groups scrambling to keep up. They broke into the U.S. market *especially* on the East Coast in a way that no Kpop group had really managed before, and BAP was the kpop group we felt confident showing off to our friends. Standing in line with that diverse crowd in New York, none of us, artists or fans, knew what collective and individual joys and sorrows would fill our lives over the next decade, but we had that moment together: I carry it with me.

@@dianamcrfan Yeesss!!! Such good memories. Some friends and I had driven four hours to go to the concert and it was so so worth. That was my first time in New York! I will never stop singing BAP's praises. Like, SM Town as a whole had been to Madison Square Garden and Big Bang had played in New Jersey, but unless someone can correct me, B.A.P. were genuinely the first group to have a solo concert in New York. I feel like it's so impossible to explain to anyone just how much BAP influenced kpop without time travelling them to 2014 to watch both long established groups and rookies suddenly pivoting concepts to try and match BAP's success, haha!

12 years ago my little brother pressed 111 on the remote control and the channel was KDS WORLD, it was music bank on, and then i saw them first performing since then i am a baby forever with you💚💚💚💚💚💚 Next day i woke up at 6:00 am (was weekend!) and put 111 again and luckily it was rerunning, waited for the 6 amazing boys to appear again and luckily i didn’t miss it! I didn’t use to have internet back then so i hold my phone and recorded their performances, good days 😭 i memorised their name and next day i asked my friend to google them for me, who they are and all information she can get me

I've been a fan of B.A.P. since I was a freshman in college when they debuted. They were and are one of the only groups I deeply fell in love with because of their discography and passion for music and they were the first kpop and my first concert period I went to in D.C. I wanted them to keep thriving like my other faves EXO, NCT, Infinite, and BTS and I definitely missed their music sorely after 2018. I'm so happy that their shitty company didn't kill their spirit or passion for music and that they've continued to grow as artists. I've absolutely loved Yongguk, Jongup, and Zelo's solo albums and I'm looking forward to listening to Curtain Call soon!

I really love this music video. I love how it shows them getting together as friends, planning their comeback while casually hanging out with one another, going up to their venue until the end preforming without an audience and then watching the music video in the end. Yongguk being the dad he is and driving them places. This video seems so real and raw. We’ve missed them so much. Also watching Jongups solo dances in the end is one of my favorite parts as well, I love how he tried out a unique style for this comeback. I can’t wait for their continuation ❤
