Bangalore to Alleppey (Alappuzha) Road Trip
Route:- Bangalore - Hosur - Salem - Erode - Palakkad- Kochi - Alappuzha
Road conditions are very good. Apart for a stretch of around 40kms all roads are 4 lane road. From Kochi to Allapuzha we got a lot of traffic which increased the travel time. Took around 14 hrs.
We stayed in Sterling Lake Palace Alleppey and The Zuri Kumarakom. Stay and resort tour videos wil be available soon.

There are no ghat roads if you follow this route Bangalore-Hosur-Salem-Erode bypass- Kochi- Alleppey

How long did it take in car for you?

It took close to 15hrs. With kid we had to give multiple breaks and also we faced traffic jam which increased the travel time more.

How is the route? Is it ghat route?

The route is good and is a national highway, maximum part of the road is 4 lane toll highway. No ghat roads.

Is driving at night with family safe?

We started early in the morning from Bangalore and reached Alleppey at around 9pm. And while travelling back, we had our dinner at Salem, so from Salem to Bangalore it was drive in the night. We didn’t face any problems, but I am not sure about late night drives. I don’t think there will be any problem as it is a busy highway.
