Greetings from the third world, Brazil! These guys rocked the world in here, specially in the 90s, with Chaos AD as their best album for the majority of fans, including me. They changed the game with the album Roots, bringing a new dimension on heavy metal heavyness. Max Cavalera is a riff-genius, Andreas one of the best guitarrist of all times, Paulo bonding the band with humbleness and Igor with incredible drums. After Max quitting the band, they continued but, the chemical wasn´t the same. These 4 guys rulled! Go for it man. Welcome to the jungle.

sepultura from 1991 is really when they were at their best. if u want thrash like me. Idolatry by Devastation in 1991 is one of the best thrash albums i've ever heard out of hundreds of albums. More people need to listen to that.

That was great, I'm loving the rhythmic sections with also some brutal tremolo picking and their approach to melody, with many sudden changes to keep variety in the composition. The lyrics seem to be talking about dictatorial governments and as the vocalist said "how somebody feels right before he dies." God bless and Deus vult!

Arise and Beneath The Remains are THE best thrash albums ever made. Schizophrenia is there also. No matter which track you choose from those albums, they're all killers/can't go wrong. These albums reflects my childhood. Over 30 years listening these songs and they just keep getting better every time. Welcome to the old-school Sepulturafamily. Everything after Chaos A.D. is shite.

check out: Manifest a song they made to criticize the police massacre that killed 111 people, all of them inmates in Carandiru, a Penitentiary in São Paulo. The police shocked the world by entering the pavillion 9 ( Pavilhão 9 - which you can check on loud scream during the song) surrounding them, executing in cold blood. A very strong song! Go for it.
