This is why I like Banger TV. It's audience and style is so diverse from my own, I get a good feel for what others like, but it also makes me feel out of touch with what the cool kids listen to. I literally heard thousands and thousands of Metal albums released in that decade (I track it on iTunes) and I only heard five of the Top 15. :( Although, the numbers say there were over 70,000 (yes, 70,000 not a typo) full-length studio albums released that decade so it is not surprising that most people only heard a small percentage of that. Even if you heard say...7000 albums over the decade that still only 10% of the total output, so yeah... these top lists, while really fun and cool are almost becoming useless because there is so much material. Lots more to discover I guess! Good job!

The quest of discovering good bands is never ending now that we are well into the internet age now. We are able to find very obscure and typically inaccessible stuff to most with the tap of a finger, so it's totally understandable to have a lot going under our radars when we actively try not to allow it regardless. I can say from experience that using Bandcamp has been pivotal in my discoveries, I have 900+ albums in my wishlist and I buy an album or two every month. They all span every nook and cranny of subgenres and it feels like an encyclopedia of quality new metal, and there's no excuse to miss anything because labels send notifications the moment an album gets announced! It's seriously amazing.

Great commentary on a list that is worlds away from my own favorites. I must be the only person who thought The Satanist was the beginning of the end for Behemoth; it was like they were finally finished building their big new house of death metal and were proud to show it off, and I preferred the albums they made when they were still building the house and you could hear them figuring it out as they went. If that makes any sense. Biggest omissions for me were: Blood Incantation: Starspawn High on Fire: Snakes for the Divine Thou: Summit Conjurer: Mire Hooded Menace: Effigies of Evil Yob: Our Raw Heart

@Sidharth Subramanian Dave and Dan are such a flawless duo, their individual styles complement each other very nicely. You can tell Dan is a prog death nerd at heart with Artificial Brain and you can see clear as day from the first album that Dave was influenced by the 80s thrash and death metal scene. They have covered some of the best old school artists like Slayer, Exhorder, and even Death. They nailed them out of the park. I could praise this band til the cows come home.
