paywall shoutouts is so lame
@RoyThomas-c7h16 сағат бұрын
making the shoutouts paywalled is frankly disgusting, we can't watch the last 2 minutes of the video and have to pay 7$ a month just to access it? at that point, why even make a review, just paywall that

All these stoner/doom albums and Connor hasn't heard of SLIFT? Someone tell him to listen to Ilion by SLIFT, it came out in Jan 2024, was an incredible record.

Metallica have become domesticated. It's sad to hear. Blayne is right, they have nothing to prove and don't need the money so why make an album unless it's going to be great. Judas Priest have absolutely nailed their last two releases no reason why Metallica couldn't have done the same.

Featuring the shout outs is crucial for bands to get exposure. If promoting music is behind the gate of paid subscription, then less folks will learn about great bands that deserve the public spotlight on such a large platform. Might want to rethink that notion, just sayin.

Their album Where the gloom becomes sound already had elements of the sound shift, but i prefered that one way over this album.

Speaking of Wolfbrigade, looking at the genre name "crust punk," isn't it interesting how we genre names like sludge metal, grunge rock, desert rock, and crust punk? All having names that sound... dirty.

My parents named me after Ian Anderson…will never understand why I was named after a dude who played a flute on one foot. Also, fun metal fact. Jethro Tull’s album Crest of the Knave won the first Grammy in “Heavy Metal” in 1989 hilariously beating Metallica’s And Justice For All album.

Sometimes I prefer a band that sounds familiar but does it well than a band with a radically different sound I don't care for.

Lame. The shout outs require a paid subscription. At first it says Join to unlock but after signing up it switches to Upgrade to unlock. Keep your shout outs then. I'll keep the new spam I'll get for entering my email addy into Patreon.

Bro you're really upset because of some shootouts. All their youtube content is completely ad free. It takes work to make all this stuff
@tonedeaf19692 күн бұрын
@IgorUlbrich it is a bit of a drag that shoutouts have been paywalled. That's a relatively new development. The new century kills btw

It's $7 a month. Is that seriously worth getting all pissy about?
@Nobodyreally-j9l2 күн бұрын
I’d understand adding new content to add value to the paid subscription and make it a better offer for backers, but I always hate to see creators just take away what was formerly free and now demand payment. I guess I’ll continue not paying and stop watching if they’re stripping the value out of the videos.
