They don't care. About the UK or it's people. The wage gap here in the UK is growing wider and wider, meaning no matter how hard you work a job, it's not enough to keep up even before inflation. Fewer people can afford to save, much less invest, but here's a billionaire telling us not to be envious as millions are left behind. The issue isn't our "envy," it the greed of the plutocrats who take, take, take. It's not "envy" when people just want to pay their bills and not worry. What a joke.

Things are a bit strange right now. Inflation is making the currency weaker for buying things like basic needs, but it's getting stronger against other stuff. So, stuff like stocks, houses and precious metals aren't doing so great because folks are putting their money into banks for safety but I'm worried about my retirement savings losing value fast.

If you are in cross roads or need sincere advice on the best moves to take now its best you seek an independent advisor who knows about the financial markets. What I figured out years back what that with proper guidance, we can predict some of these situations and take advantage of them. Have you considered seeking the help of a financial advisor? I have been working with one since the corona lockdown, and she has been instrumental in navigating these difficult times. I and my Financial advisor are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take till Q2 2025.

I've just looked at the Energy Dashboard & at the present moment about 2/3 of our electricity is being generating by gas & nuclear. (10 pm 11th Jan 2025).

The government won't spend because we haven't got the money, it's all going on the overseas aid budget.

Growth only comes from investment, and people only invest when they can make a profit on their investment. Labour want to Tax all the profits away so no investment. This is not complicated but Labour always seem to be unable to get it

We could re create the CEGB. Keep it UK state owned and fund it during a construction program of nuclear stations. Initially fast track a few magnox stations as they are proven technology AND we have the designs. It'll provide a 50 year stopgap during which Rolls Royce and others can develop next generation units.

Yes we have nuclear coming online in the form of Hinckley point. Issue with this is it’s owned by the Chinese and French. Significantly over budget pushing up the cost to the consumer. Another disastrous government poor administration.

Recreate the CEGB and nationally fund it for research, development and construction. Build state owned generation. If commercial operators can build and operate at a profit our own team can build and operate without adding overseas profit costs. Privatisation of UK electricity generation was a huge mistake.
