Special thank you to the wonderful staff at the former Dusit Thani Hotel at 8:45 for giving the 1995 DePaul University’s “Southeast Asia Foreign Study Business Program” a wonderful seminar with top management teaching us about business practices at their historic and legendary hotel in Bangkok! I was an undergraduate student on that trip! My father (now retired) was a business professor who led twenty annual study tours for university credit to groups of mostly MBA students along with several undergraduate students visiting Thailand, Japan, China, Vietnam, etc. The Dusit Thani always provided an insightful two hour seminar and Q/A session for my father’s group every year. Standing ovation for those awesome people!

Lovely weather for a Sunday morning ride and it's nice to see the evolution of some areas 6 months after visiting! The Dusit Hotel has gone up a lot since March, for instance. And the park Si Lom is completed. I love how the city is fast changing and really picture myself living there. Thanks one more time for your videos and updates. Do you have an electric bike by the way?

I believe “Thai Daimaru” used to be where the market “Big C” is now. The first modern department store with escalators in Bangkok. Is Anathara hotel used to be Peninsula hotel or something like that back in the days? There used to be an open canal “Klong” on Sathorn road. It used to be North and South Sathorn roads. Is it still the same? Bangkok bank headquarters on Silom seems to be the same as from 35+ years ago! Thanks for bringing me back memories of old.

Thanks for this nice roundtrip, i will keep in mind for my next bangkoktrip. I will rent a bicycle and to follow that route. Should be not a problem, because i am an "Early Bird", i like get up early in the morning. i will start at my fovorite hotel, the Landmark in sukhumvit, i think through the wirelessroad tu petchabzri should be ok. If i loose the way, i will call you to assist me. 🚴🚴 haha.

A good circuit. I must do that Skywalk on my next visit. Incidentally, what are the rules on pedestrian crossings & people walking over? You seemed to cut across some people crossing at a left turn you made, after Platinum & the Big C area. You wouldn't get away with that in the uk.

It has never stopped. There are several on-going underground power lines project all over the city, mainly main roads, right now there are removing wires and power poles on phahonyothin road. Rama IV, wireless roads, sarasin road, langsuan road as well as ratchadapisek road will be done by the end of this year. On-going projects for other roads such as asoke and Sukhumvit roads (the part to Samut Prakan) will be done in 1-3 years respectively. The whole roads with with the elevated blue line running will also be done gradually this year and next. There are also separate projects for removing unused wires, with recently completed roads, such as Sukhumvit 11,13,15, Thonglor and Charoen Krung road with many more. Next they are doing convent roads and surawong roads in Silom.
