Bangkok & Phuket - Thailand

Hello. My name is Kristie. I'm from the Netherlands, currently living in Germany. Since I was little I loved travelling. When I met my boyfriend in the beginning of 2021, we try to travel as much as we can. Even though, he has a full time job and I have to finish my education, we take every opportunity to explore the world.
At first, Thailand was way more western than we expected. After being in Indonesia, including Bali, Thailand is (in our opinion) more developed. Except for that, people in Thailand are very friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, when laying on the beach, it was a bit annoying, being asked every 5 minutes to buy something or to go parasailing. However, we really fell in love with this country and we would like visiting it again, maybe then the north.
Besides, we had a very good itinerary. Firstly, we were in Bangkok for three days. There we saw many sightseeing stuff, like temples, rooftop bars and the city itself. It was the perfect length for seeing Bangkok. I recommend seeing it by foot (maybe sometimes with Tuk Tuk) to appreciate the city completely. Afterwards, we flew to Phuket, there we stayed for 5 days in an amazing Airbnb in Patong. In Phuket we hired a car. With that, we were flexible to explore the whole island and the surrounding areas.
All in all in was an awesome vacation and we will come back.
