This has been happening in Latin America for the past couple of years. And the two-tier pricing system is definitely in effect. You're able to get much lower rates from *most* chicas. Because most do not get a lot of customers and are willing to take whatever is offered. But some girls are just popular and can price to demand. I've only been the Thailand once, but I think the same is true about how much business most girls get - it's enough to fit the lifestyles they want. So, I suspect that *most* girls will still be willing to negotiate within a reasonable range. But there's going to be a few that can legitimately ask whatever they want. I actually really like the multi-tiers. While it can lead to regret for the casual hobbyists, for guys that can spot a gal that's pricing herself at discount compared to what he wants, then there's still a lot of value to be captured.

I can confirm that rates seem to be creeping up. When I was in a certain all nude club off Cowboy in late March, 4000 ST all in was the going rate for a 7.

I’m not surprised I won’t pay it but not surprised. On my last time out in Dec I find Cowboy to be just a scam and GoGo”s in general for Thailand not really worth it even at 3k about 99% of the time. Dangerous game they’re playing gonna price themselves out of business and that’s the way things been trending for years now.

On TF in BKK it works, works even better in Pattaya. There is always Thermae Cafe and the girl bars are still reasonable. THis price hike seems to be in the Gogo's only at this time

In pattaya a girl wanted 6k LT, told her I only have 5k on me, she accepted. A lot of girls in gogo's are desperate for customers, esp low season. So you may get away with 4k.

not as desperate as think. Low season is not so low. In Phuket they have the same number of booked rooms as they did during High season. On Fri and Sat night in BKK the streets, restaurants and bars were full.

It started with the rase of the bar find and now the girls minimum I don’t think that it worth at all. A free lancer is good enough and definitely a massage shop and if we want for something special it’s better to pay more for a Gentleman club because the gogo bars are not fair at all

These folks don't have a lot of imagination, they copy each other, one tries it, gets paid by fool, then they all try it. That's why you see four vendors on a road within 100 feet of each other all selling the same goods. Personally, I never thought the girls in these bars were all that hot anyway, well, at least those in Pattaya.

TF is an amazing platform. For the first time ever I spent time in BKK and just didn't bother with gogo's. I never thought that would happen. I had some TF girls that really were at least 8's for [as you say] 1200 to 2k and they turned up at the hotel and were absolutely beautiful. I chatted to them on TF and then got their line id's and also very often their instagram accounts. They sent pics so you got to see 100% what you were getting. The gogo's in Pattaya TBH seemed to be only interested in Asian guys that just drop a whole lot of cash. The girls know this and they just did not seem interested in me ie an older white guy. Such a shame though bc the buzz of going to a gogo and picking a girl from the line up is so special. The bar fines however seemed to be a standard 1k and yes the girls all asked 4k. That's just the way of it now I think.

Thanks for sharing. That sounds odd as I know many older white dudes who are not in shape reporting great experiences with TF in Pattaya. There are always going to be some who prefer Asian dudes, but it's not wide spread as far as I can tell

The cost of Visa's is not bad here given the high quality of life available at an affordable price. I agree that Visa's in the PI are easier and cheaper. But Manilla is no Bangkok

@passportmarc Thai Elite is crazy expensive. It's for the rich and jet set crowds, not for average people. There are lot of other options like the ED, Permanent Resident (PR) and of course the Retirement visa. There are many others. Most visas that get you a year to 15 months will run about $1000 through a service. In the case of an ED visa you get 50 weeks of Thai Language classes in addition to the visa for about $1000 usd.
