You cannot talk about intellectual matters using the Hindi spoken on the streets. If you don’t like him using formal Hindi vocabulary that would require using huge amounts of English words in his Hindi. That would not be comprehensible for the average person. Formal vocabulary is necessary in every language. Why are you guys trying to destroy Hindi and turn it into a pidgin?

@@Mr123Goog I never said I didn't like his Hindi. Before spreading hate learn some grammar of Hindi regarding deshaj and videshi shabd. Intellectual debates also can happen without using jargon. Please go through constitutional assembly debates for that. They used normal Hindi and yet made most beautiful document. So your logic falls flat. Instead of mongering, had you written that essay in Hindi, your love for language would have better reflected.

1) I don’t know how good your Hindi is so hence I used English since that’s the language you used. 2) if you look at the transcripts the constituent assembly debated to a large extent in English. To the extent that “Hindi” was used, it was really just Urdu, with even words like desh replaced with mulk or qaum. 3) I am well aware of the difference between videshi, tadbhav, tatsam, and deshaj. The problem is there are many ideas/things that cannot be expressed with only tadbhav, deshaj, and Farsi/Arabic loanwords. You need some tatsam. Please tell me what is the tadbhav version of “aarthik vikaas” or “bhrashtachar” or “mantralay”? There is none.

If you hate Hindi so much and can’t tolerate ThePrint doing both English and Hindi, then you can consume tv and print news in a South Indian language. Who are you to tell people they can’t put out their journalism in Hindi? It’s not being forced on you, you have other options. Would it make sense for Hindi speakers to demand that journalism done in tamil should be in English just because they are too lazy to find content in Hindi?
