Actually it’s not just Modi. This mindset is by and large the reflection of the mindset of the people of India. If India truly wants to lead this region, they will first require an honest introspection. Treat its neighbors with respect, stop meddling in their internal affairs and attempt to install autocratic regimes favorable towards India and its interest. It needs to overhaul its regional foreign policy and start building relationships with the nations in its neighborhood as opposed to building relationships with an entity or individual in that state. Sri Lanka Maldives and Noe Bangladesh. It’s blatantly clear that the age old formula from the Cold War era does not work anymore. Hopefully, sanity will prevail in Delhi, otherwise history will keep repeating itself at India’s expense every time.

Mahfuf Anam was quite partial in taking the side and talking in favor of the ousted Hasina who got refuge to her friendly country. As he was replying to one of the questions in holding the election as the situation was improving, the reply was not positive and sufficient. The NDTV anchor was insisting that the election be held on Anam's reporting of the situations getting or have gotten stable. Why is she keen about the election? The interim govt. have embarked at the most crucial and crisis situation, and they have many things to put into order to establish a favourable, acceptable condition and competitive atmosphere for holding a free, fair, transparent and participatory election of a truly democratic nature. Until these elements are ensured, they will have to continue until these are achieved. We all need to be patient for such an opportunity that has come all the way from the struggle and the blood sacrificed by the students and people of the country.
