V is not lucifer, he is Icarus who unlike lucifer losted his wings and fall on earth. Just like We saw V falling from the balcony. After giving in to the temptations, the boys all choose one exit. That exit leading to the path of evil. Here we see that Jhope also has given up.V looks back to see Jin hesitating. And we see that the last thin layer that covered V disappears.Seeing Jin hesitate, V covers his eyes, trying to convince him to come along. Then he sees the statue with the black wings. And just like how everyone was tempted with something they want, Jin is also met with something he desires. Wings. He can have both the wings and the boys but he has to choose the wrong path for that. And in the end, he decides to give in, that’s why by kissing the statue, Jin chooses the evil path.

So what some people have been saying that V is the fallen angel/ devil because he killed someone during 'I NEED U' breaking his purity and innocence of his Youth which was why there were scars on his back from the wings being taken off of him. The painting/image Jin was looking at in the beginning was a representation of the great battle between Heaven and Hell. So you could say he was quite confused or stuck in between and trying to decide where he'd side on. That statue with the black wings represents V who became a fallen angel. Out of temptation, Jin kissed the statue which then results to him breakin his own purity, innocence and you can see that from when V turned around towards the camera and sorta smirked and also when Jin started breakin... idk... that's just what people got from it as a whole...

the story of this M/V is about Icarus(Jungkook) from a Greek myth. V is a cousin of Icarus and RapMon is Icarus' father, Daedalus. in that myth, Daedalus(RM) killed V because of a jealousy about his talent. so V became a devil and was trying to seduce the rest of members with Sugar for revenge. 'an angel who loses his wings becomes a devil.' V's injury of his back means that he loses his wings. you can find lots of masterpieces about Icarus or Greek myth on this M/V if you watch it more carefully :) Jin is the only one that isn't easily tempted to devil(V).

I just watched this today (I know it's so late but I just got into BTS recently, so...) and I would like to say I would greatly agree with you when you said it reminds you of Xia's Flower. I'm a big Xia fan (JYJ stan here) and when I watched his Flower MV, I thought it was the best Kpop MV I've ever watched. But when BTS came out with BST, I was blown away and I can definitely say that it's - along with Flower - are the best Kpop MVs for me. They both give off such an amazing feeling and story wherein you really have to think what's going on in the MV 'cause you just know that there is a bigger and deeper meaning for every moment or just literally everything.

i already saw a mv theory in korean. In that video, v is evil and he is trying to get other members fall into the dark ? jin is the last surviver but he also got into v. this was represented in the video jin kissing statue. V isn't some fallen angel. He is Demian who is a kid who basically began to put things in Sinclairs (jin) mind as a kid. Kinda like us as kids when we grow up we don't stay pure as we were. When Sinclair kissed Demian also represented by the statue. They became one, Sinclair being the good, V was add-in the bad. It's all symbolism. I really wish people with theories would just read the book. If they did everything would be as clear as day. They worked hard with the video and did a great job with the video, to match the book.

XD I really loved the song and mv, too. :-) Btw this isn't originally my comment, but I think it's an interesting possible explanation for the mv: Theory by reddit user HamSpice! Jin is Emil Sinclair and V is Max Demian. Rapmon states that "He too (Demian) was a tempter, he too was a link to the second, the evil world with which I no longer wanted to have anything to do". We then see the group leaving the art gallery, except Emil (Jin) notices something - as well as Demian (V) noticing Jin lagging behind. Demian covers Emil's eyes with his hand and uncovers them once he's facing a statue of an angel with dark black wings. The scenes cut to a figure being unveiled slowly, then cuts back to Jin who leans in for a kiss with the statue - only to have it cut back to the fully unveiled figure which is V. If we look back to Namjoon's statement "He was a tempter/link to the second world" we see that Demian has once again lulled Emil into the evil world, kissing the angel with dark wings.The unveiled Demian, one with no wings but rather marks where they should be signifies that he is in fact a fallen angel. The next scene, one in which Emil's face is cracking, is a consequence of once again falling into the second world, evil.
