Banh Bot Loc Tran - Vietnamese Tapioca Dumplings

I made some today. The filling was delicious! But the dumplings came out chewy. I added an extra quarter cup of boiling water and tried to knead the dough well. It was quite a workout 😂. But overall, it was delicious. Thank you for the recipe!

@@DeanaThai Yes they are supposed to be chewy. But mine came out really, really chewy. My mom said they are “giai”.

Love these!, Can you use this method of making the dough but using it in the banana leaf version?

Thank you! No, the banana left version is more of a paste consistency. The batter has to be pre-cooked in a pan on a stove.
