Religion--especially its loonier offshoots--has a lot to answer for. These people need to shake their pointed little heads and assess their priorities: their son or some nonsense based on discredited ancient mythologies and the delusions of a 19th-century demagogue.

Watching the grandmother & granddaughter interacting reminded me of my grandmother who lived with us. We were close. After I graduated from college, I went back home. My grandmother was admitted to hospital with Congestive heart failure. My cousin was supposed to stay with her but she had been called into work. She asked me to stay with her. I did & and I was so glad I did. She had 11 children, numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren. She named everyone of them & said something positive about us all. We were holding hands & talking softly. She was moved upstairs into a room & they asked her to shuffle off the gurney into the bed. I looked at her face & immediately I knew something was wrong. The nurses had barely left the room when I yelled Code Blue. She sadly passed away then. I am so glad I had the pleasure of being with her on her final day on earth. God bless her!. And I hope these two people will have many happy times together.

I was 15 when my grandmother sadly passed away from Alzheimer’s. We had tried to have her live with us, but it was impossible. We lived in Calgary Alberta Canada, and she lived in Montreal so that made it really hard but when we did live in Montreal we saw them every weekend and her and I were close because she was a type two diabetic and I type one. We would always be talking about diabetes and what it entailed. I really miss her.

If you've never been with someone in the ER with a head injury who keeps asking the same questions repetitively, then it would be hard to understand how stressful it is. I'm sure I wasn't as patient as I should have been with my husband. It's so scary.
@58Kym

I did the same thing, sat next to my husband for hours listening to the same questions, over and over. In the end I sat behind the head of the bed where he couldn’t see me. He stopped with questions and dozed instead. I should have left him there and then as I found out he was cheating.

I’m going through that with my 92 year old aunt. When she asks me something more than once I change the subject. I usually ask her what her childhood was like - she can talk about that for an hour. And while it’s all stories I’ve heard, but it stops her from repeating the questions of the day 😊

@@ingerfaber3411 She and my Uncle were like second parents to me. Just before he passed they put me in charge of their estate, and he sat on my couch in tears asking me to take care of my aunt after he was gone. I would have done it without him asking, but it truly is an honor. They have a son who’s about as useless as writing on glass with a pencil, and he’s as greedy as a wildfire looking for something to burn. He has tried every way under the son to get at her money. I finally blocked him because I’m tired of telling him he can have his inheritance after his mother is deceased. He hasn’t bothered to visit her for almost 10 years. I can’t even imagine treating my mother like that!

Wow, love, that’s a lot for only 18! You’re the same age as my daughter. She doesn’t have many physical issues but, although very smart, severe autism causes her enormous emotional pain. I’m glad you’ve survived all those horrific health crises & I hope you get some long term help for your pain. I’ve got numerous ruptured discs & chronic, ghastly pain, so I understand how debilitating it can be. It’s even worse for you because you’re so incredibly young. I hope they find some long term ways to help you & manage your pain. Take good care. 💕

I’ve been an hour or two away from dying, but survived every time. I’ve had 21 operations and 2 more coming up. One is on my hand which I don’t look forward to and the other is my most serious operation and that’s double bypass open heart surgery. I hope that’s very soon. Life sure has its surprises doesn’t it? I’ve been a type 1 diabetic for 53yrs, so I have all that going on as well. You’re doing so well even though you’ve been through so much. Firstly I wouldn't call a jehovah's witness a Christian. I am an Evangelical Christian I decided when my children were born that when they grew up if it turned out that they were homosexual I would not agree with their lifestyle but would never shun them or berate them or be nasty to them. I would love them and support them. We all are sinners, no one is perfect except God. In following Him I choose to live my life a certain way, but I was always taught hate sin but love sinners. I feel so sad that this young man was cast out by his church and as a result of that he was cast out by his family. Tragic. ❣🙏

I don't believe any credible God would think denying one's child is acceptable. Most religions consider children a gift from God/s so throwing them away is throwing a way God's gift.

How do they get permission to film this as someone is laying there in the most vulnerable state of perhaps their entire life? Hold on mate let me put this mic on your neck collar as you lay there incoherent?

There was a whole show about how they make the show. There are, I think 94 stationary cameras filming all the time. Permission is always given by the patient, or the family, and then they are given the option a second time to be in the show or not, after editing.

HAHAHAHA! Those two men made me laugh. He only speaks Spanish when he’s in pain? Haha! It saddens me about how cruel religion can be to disown your own son or daughter for being gay. For fuck sake! A child is a child unless they’re murderers. Haha! Then boot them out if you survive. I think they’ll be great parents. Have the best time. Much love from the good side of the USA. Haha

In the Bible it says God made Adam and then he made Eve that was supposed to be the way it was man and woman not man man woman woman I'm sorry I don't mean to be preaching but that's what it says and that's the truth

It’s funny how if they are gay they will make SURE to say “Husband/wife” BUT everyone else, the normal relationships they only say “Partner “ 🙄

I'm not sure that's correct @Treasuremonk. In this episode alone Emma asks if her husband knows (what has happened) and in many other episodes we see people referring to their husband or wife. It's been my experience that it's usually single or divorced people who will refer to their current squeeze as "my partner" but most people use the more traditional "husband" or "wife." Certainly it would be odd to hear married people speaking of a spouse as their partner. In the case of Josh and Isaac, I notice that Josh does wear a wedding ring so perhaps they are a married couple and would be expected to use the traditional terms.
