WOW! Malcom was absolutely unrecognizable from the day of his heart attack to the interview. He looks 20 years older but healthier. That is the most sobering interview I’ve seen so far. Just WOW.

They used units. A Heineken in the UK is equivalent to 3.3 units. So over a week that would be 36 Heinekens. An average of 5 beers a day. Pretty easy work for an alcoholic

How CREEPY that not only ONE accident (which didn't send her home) but TWO accidents! Kinda like "oh, you don't get the picture, allow me to make sure you just go home"! Just unbelievable! I'm not religious at all. But you just can't ignore something amazing happened to be THAT forceful to send her home! & How lucky that she actually knows how to perform CPR! They asked 1,000 people just on the street with a camera crew if they knew the order of correct CPR. 27 people got it right! They were hoping to encourage the public to take the Free course's through the ambulance service

I am a firm believer that God will decide the very second we depart this life. I had a major heart attack two years ago and a TIA a year ago. On my last discharge the doctor told me that if he can give me good advice, its for me to get my paperwork in order. In both instances my response was that God decides the second and that second will be the best time for me. By grace I am living a normal life and enjoy every day. I do have to take a large amount of meds everyday, but it just becomes a new norm. One quickly adjusts to limitations, but the most important is to continue living to the fullest and not to sit and wait upon death. It will come at the right time, until then, enjoy life.

25:10 THANK YOU... The big things that are done differently between USA/UK is the UK treats the patients with dignity, and modesty... we don't really get that here in the USA. They claim we do, nope... And the other is you treat the patient's pain, here even if you are in so much pain, nothing matters.... Job, home, spouse, parent, food, not one thing.... Death would be more humane... The ER (A&E) will treat you as if you are an addict and are just a pill seeker.... They don't care about pain, until they are the patient..

It's surprising and disappointing to hear Desmond say " If the Great Man has decided that your time is up, then we are working against him and nature to try and turn that around..." So, why does Des bother then? Clearly, doctors and nurses can't do anything in that case. But, of course, they CAN. So where does that the leave the input of his invisible sky friend? What fatuity coming from such a compassionate and skilled man.

Can what keep you alive on life support? If they have sorted out your heart but due to lack of oxygen to the brain from the heart not beating. You may suffer huge brain damage. So your brain cannot give the signals to breathe and heart to beat because you are"brain dead". Drs cannot fix that dead brain. So the only thing keeping the body functioning is the life support equipment . So yes if your time is up it is up. So yes they do all they can until the reality is there is nothing more that they can do.They bother because If someone if furtunate to receive correct CPR in time. They get the heart going and because of the timeous CPR the brain is not damaged at all or there is some damage but the brain can still function to sustain life. The results of the amount of brain damage and quality of life will only be known as the person recovers.Dr Des is spot on.That is why he tries and knows that at some point nothing more can be done. For spelling and grammar critics . My brain got damaged so Its spellcheck is faulty.❤

As big as he is, it's not surprising that Malcolm has developed heart disease. If he and his wife do not begin a healthy eating and exercise program, neither will live a full life span.

Why do you want to blame it all on the wife? We had a very small glimpse into their life and have no idea how they eat. Believe it or not, people who look completely healthy have heart attacks as well. I think the event planner guy needed to be talked to about his diet. Even though he looked healthy, I would bet that his back pain was from his kidney's trying to process all that alcohol, being dehydrated and bad nutrition, yet it didn't appear that the doctor had any interest in talking about any of that.

Amanda is a very nice person but I cannot stand her voice. Adults with kid voices have to get frustrated on the phone. People must think they are kids. My voice is not very feminine and I hate it. You are stuck with the voice you get.

Amanda is as cute as a button. How can you live in an English speaking country, and not speak the ,language? In my country, you must have a reasonable understanding of spoken and written English, to be able to emigrate here. Blonde hair always looks silly on a person of color, IMHO.

Bullshit, I've had 6 heart attacks outside the hospital and I'm fine, my quality of life is excellent, And I've had stents and angioplasty and neither took longer than a half hour., not 3

Of course, even without any medical training, you are an expert on cardiac events. With all the medical interventions you have had, had to imagine a perfectly healthy life. 😮😮😮

They were talking about a cardiac arrest outside of hospital not heart attacks which usually happen outside of hospital.

I know these guys try to do everything they can with the overload that is the NHS, but it all looks really slow, i,ve had 24 ops, while i,m very happy, mostly with what they,ve done, things could,ve been dealt with more quickly. Juhaptergee

But they are doing everything as fast as they can, what do you want them do to? Run around, increasing the risk of slipping and falling, and hurry along, increasing the risk of mistakes being made, because they're stressing? 😅
