I am a firm believer that God will decide the very second we depart this life. I had a major heart attack two years ago and a TIA a year ago. On my last discharge the doctor told me that if he can give me good advice, its for me to get my paperwork in order. In both instances my response was that God decides the second and that second will be the best time for me. By grace I am living a normal life and enjoy every day. I do have to take a large amount of meds everyday, but it just becomes a new norm. One quickly adjusts to limitations, but the most important is to continue living to the fullest and not to sit and wait upon death. It will come at the right time, until then, enjoy life.

They claim we do, nope... And the other is you treat the patient's pain, here even if you are in so much pain, nothing matters.... Job, home, spouse, parent, food, not one thing.... Death would be more humane... The ER (A&E) will treat you as if you are an addict and are just a pill seeker.... They don't care about pain, until they are the patient..

It's surprising and disappointing to hear Desmond say " If the Great Man has decided that your time is up, then we are working against him and nature to try and turn that around..." What fatuity coming from such a compassionate and skilled man.

Can what keep you alive on life support? If they have sorted out your heart but due to lack of oxygen to the brain from the heart not beating. You may suffer huge brain damage. So your brain cannot give the signals to breathe and heart to beat because you are"brain dead". Drs cannot fix that dead brain. So the only thing keeping the body functioning is the life support equipment . So yes if your time is up it is up. So yes they do all they can until the reality is there is nothing more that they can do.They bother because If someone if furtunate to receive correct CPR in time. They get the heart going and because of the timeous CPR the brain is not damaged at all or there is some damage but the brain can still function to sustain life. The results of the amount of brain damage and quality of life will only be known as the person recovers.Dr Des is spot on.That is why he tries and knows that at some point nothing more can be done. For spelling and grammar critics . My brain got damaged so Its spellcheck is faulty.❤

@marionbrooke23432 ай бұрын
Why do you want to blame it all on the wife? We had a very small glimpse into their life and have no idea how they eat. Believe it or not, people who look completely healthy have heart attacks as well. I think the event planner guy needed to be talked to about his diet. Even though he looked healthy, I would bet that his back pain was from his kidney's trying to process all that alcohol, being dehydrated and bad nutrition, yet it didn't appear that the doctor had any interest in talking about any of that.
