I don't believe it's a smart idea to travel the world when your only source of income is the rent from one solitary property, and that property is also your own home, your only permanent stable residence. I think it's a foolish idea putting yourself at the mercy of strangers while thousands of miles away in another country.

Faouad had not gone through the courts, so the unofficial agreement didn't mean anything. The squatters had more rights than the owner, unfortunately.

@@alisong2328 Even so, court documents or not, common sense would tell you, change the locks. He was even warned "They may try to get back in" He knew it was a possibility and didn't nothing to protect himself.

The Colombian lady said, she would leave when the baliff comes with the eviction letter. When the bailiff came with the eviction letter it was a different story. They did not want to leave, and go to the Council.

Simple answer is if they are not paying the rent, your out!! You cannot go into a store and take over the store, why can these people take over someone else's property. ❤❤❤❤to the owners of these properties.

With all due respect why would they care about their safety when they would be on the street without these places? I can tell the council enforcement people care about people but there is only so much they can do. The landlord is terrible for taking advantage of these vulnerable people. It's all so sad.

I agree. It’s worse on the streets than in a place like that. I feel the council are making people homeless under the guise of health and safety and feigned concern. It’s much worse to be on the streets. If they cared they would’ve made the place safe or offered alternative accommodation. They were paying rent there so could pay rent at a council provided b&b too for instance.

I don't get it... If you use a rented house for illegal activities why is that not an automatic eviction? I find that a disqualifying abuse of purpose.

Now that I know the UK system, I know how to get a place by waiting for an eviction. No need to pay arrears and my stuff will be put in storage by the landlord.

Some get a big loan, then buy properties and rent it forward thinking to get loan paid and then getting a living. How do you live with the stress? All kind of drug using, mental disorders and such is more prevalent than ever.
