Of all the restoration shows I've seen over the years, this episode is my absolute favorite. I adore the personalities of this talented couple, love their lifestyle and ability to find humor in difficult times, and of course their home is the most charming little place ever. It's been utterly heart and soul-touching to watch their story from initial insight and challenges, fears and beautiful little moments develop into something so incredibly lovely. Thank you for sharing this wonderful personal adventure.

I've been watching them as well for years and years and I was just coming to the comments to say the exact same thing. This is just a wonderful couple and such a lovely cottage. I wish we could see the extension and the bathroom. It's just a perfect tiny home.

I cried at the end when they were presented the original estate Tudor Rose pulls. Like all the previous comments made by viewers, this episode was the most brilliant and joyful to watch because of the talent, dedicated work and love shown from all but especially this original and lovely couple. Love , love loved this! Thank you for letting us enjoy watching. Week 3 in isolation and needing the distraction. This was entertaining and educational.

This one is By FAR my favorite ! So cute ! I love the couple and that house is so Dreamy a true Fairytale . Really perfect . If I would ever come across a house like that ... IT WOULD BE MINE ! All those big castles and giant houses ... are nothing compared to that house ❤️ . That is one house that made me understand the saying “ Home is where your heart is “ . Because the love between them is so very warm , and sweet . It just made the house give you that warm home vibe . Really amazing ❤️😘🥰

Number One ... replace the roof ....check. Darling, little cottage 'a touch of the fairy' with the style and the unique features. A tiny gem! A legacy for England to admire for generations to come!! If only more significant buildings could be restored at nominal cost to the owner, these historic buildings could shine for centuries to come. Long live England!!

When I see restoration shows where all or a majority of the work was done by the owner, and it turns out as brilliant as this, I think: that person can make a living doing that, charging huge sums by the hour for their unique skills. These two would make an awesome restoration company!

It's funny to hear them say the house is too small. My husband and I live on a sailboat. We have roughly 100 sq ft of living space. Bearing in mind that our "bedroom" is just the v berth, and all bed. And our bathroom is the toilet and shower combined in a 2.5 x 2.5 square to stand, sit on the toilet and shower. Before that, we spent a year living in our truck camper at 88 sq ft with our dog. Sadly we lost him before we moved aboard the boat.

Before i started watching this episode, I wasn't excited to finish it. But it turned IMHO, the best one so far I've seen on this show. It's because Nick and Vanessa are crafts experts and artists. Every detail of their house was a result of hard earned skills and an artistic outlook. When Vanessa saw the original window pulls of the estate building- she was floored and awed to tears. Truly a reflection of her commitment to her art and vision. Question is: what happened to the pigs?
Absolutely beautiful craftsmanship by this couple. Best restoration thus far.

Reminds me of two my fav Grand Designs, the house in the woods and the Puglia project. Anyone can produce a great building if you’re able to throw £0000,0000 at it (not that everyone who spends a huge amount does of course), but there’s something really special when it’s built with the owner’s passion, hard work and skill.

This was the best episode I've seen! The couple makes me so happy & they are both so talented & lovely. The only part that "bugs" me is the trim on the windows wasn't finished for whatever reason (?) One was painted halfway & the other not touched. It just seems strange they would finish so many other parts when that would take less than a day to finish. Not a big deal of course, simply curious because it doesn't seem like they would forget when they were so careful with all the other painting details. The moat was dreamy!! I paused several times to take in everything they did, there is such great craftsmanship all around. What a charming & beautiful home, filled with loving details.

I believe it's from when the glass was broken...she's making all the windows herself and the left one looks freshly installed and the right was is probably a work in progress. I bet they'll paint them when they're both completed.
