Amazing projects by bold and innovative teams. Surprised by these structures as well as by most of the comments with negativity❗️

The Millau bridge is as innovative and daring a project as Concorde was.❤😮

This bridge can last for centuries ,but concorde is no more😢

It's heartbreaking that that whole bridge costs as much as ... half a day of war.

So they anchored the hotel at the bottom and put movable parts at the top so basically it's now just like a normal building during an earthquake and it would break from the bottom still 🤔

30:00 So they created a hotel with floors underwater, and then they stuck aquariums over all the underwater windows instead. Isn't that just outright cheating your guests? Who would pay that much just to watch a small aquarium? They could have just put lighting in the quarry lake instead, and actually created a proper ecosystem with fish in it.
@BooBuKittyPhuk11 ай бұрын
The difference is the aquariums are salt water and can have amazingly beautiful setups and fish in them. If the guests were just looking underwater in a lake they'd definitely want the aquarium instead

a couple minute prior to the one you linked literally explians why they did this. did you even watch the video?

That hotel is a textbook example of how a group of highly intelligent people are blind to the biggest blunder of their career. This location is extremely unsuitable and extremely dangerous for construction. Earthquakes, collapses and rainfall can cause much more than the construction can compensate for. Problems rarely come alone, a building must always be able to be safely evacuated, even without power. And then I haven't even mentioned the depressing surroundings.

so that 'wonderland' hotel is basically an ordinary built hotel that's built in a hole in the ground surrounded by rock.., must be the most boring view from your hotel window (if there is a window), and then you pay min $3000 per night to sleep there... 🤷🏽♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣

What a dumb ideea and waste of materials not mentioning that all that steel and concrete is not at all climate friendly and how hard and costly would that be to perform maintenance on it . Yes it is an engineering masterpiece but that is all . The sensible approach would have go down in the valley and build a smaller bridge to cross the river like that you would have a highway that is mostly on the ground meaning lower maintenance costs and less use of steel and concrete

One of the commentators, Corina, is poorly/shoddily lit. Don't you have quality control and reviewing before the release of material?

That bridge is not the tallest in the world. Chine occupied that position. The biggest is located in Chine, not Europe.
