I never realized the glass was sails and the blocks were icebergs. Its such a gorgeous museum though and now knowing that I can see the structure differently and appreciate the use of wood and openness of the building even more. I just wish there were more pictures and video of the process of building each project that is highlighted in the episode.

At 18:39 (Lenard st ,NYC) That staircase made out of concrete in the lobby looks Luke a parking garage 😳. At least dress it up with some Italian Marble not bare raw sterile concrete!!!The first thing that comes to mind when I look at the Leonard st tower is the Favela slumbs in Rio De Jenaro

"4 months later the city changed its land use laws" and suddenly there was no problem building it. Well, that's the power of a billionaire. Legal restrictions are helpless in the face of money.

The whole project was just a monument of excess that reflected one man's ego. No wonder Parisians are so rightfully antagonistic of it.

It was glaring and comical to observe the desperate attempts to not simply call it the "Jenga" building; which is, in fact, by far, the most appropriate and accurate comparison if you're actually interested in communicating effectively with the viewer. Instead, out of pure pretension and obvious, predictable and fake hauteur they deploy every other possible means of exposition. All of which fail in their bloated airs and superlicious attempt to articulate the building's design expression effectively. Funny.

the building cost numbers their giving are absolute rubbish. It seems to be a common theme with these highly sculptural pieces of Architecture. At the beginning of the Gehry Museum piece, they mentioned a budget of 130 million euros, to a final cost of 800+million,holy shit, thats quite a difference, good thing the client/developer was a multi billionare with an appreciation for whats involved in making ''great Art''otherwise someone would have lost their ass on that project!
