Oh, the memories this will create!! I would have been beyond thrilled for my Daddy to have done something like this! And the absolute joy it will give your Dad to be able to do this for you. It will be priceless for you both!

My dad's played banjo most of his life. And taught me. If the arthritis hadnt hit him first, I'd have given anything for him to play at mine. To the Bride: its the little details that will mean the most when its all said and done. And I think if you dont have your dad play. You'll regret it and think about it daily until the end. Its the little things. And that was beautiful. :) good luck "dad"! Hopefully youll post a wedding video of your performance! ;)

I have looked everywhere for the Wedding March played on a banjo and you just blew me away. I wish I knew somebody that could play the banjo to play at my wedding, but I don't. I love banjo music and I have to say you are awesome.

listening to play that brought tears to my eyes my daddy also play the banjo and I would have loved nothing more than to have him play that at my wedding I lost him two years ago I have his banjo I hold it very dear to my heart to your daughter Embrace the gift that your dad wants to give you on your wedding day, because one day they will be gone but you will always have that special memory of your dad and his banjo on your wedding day

I'd do anything to have my dad back to walk me down the aisle and have that father/daughter dance, much less play the banjo. She's a very lucky gal for her daddy to go all out like this. LET HIM PLAY MALLORY!! These are the moments we live for! God Bless!

I walked down the aisle to this version almost 8 years ago. Sorry your daughter didn’t love it but I did!

It's not just her day...he put in work too! Late nights, paying for sports, attending any activities she was a part of. My dad only had one request on my wedding day and I granted it. They won't be around forever! The only reason she should say no is because she wants him near her!

You are more than welcome to come play at my wedding (if that ever happens, LOL). It would be an honor!

And it's a good 'ern, too. I hope Cleo and Millie got extra treats for their roles in the production.

You sir, are extremely wise and correct. It is a good natured joke and I, too, am surprised that people are taking sides in such a serious manner.

YESS If she is smart she will have you play her wedding. But what about walking her down the aisle?

I don't suppose you're going to be in Southern California in late June. We would love to have you play that at our wedding.

Ron LaFond I'm afraid not Ron. And Georgia's a little too far away for a commute. But thanks for the offer.

Thanks anyway, Zane. Would you mind if we play the recording of this at our wedding?

You're right. In fact, I don't think he's even playing chords. He's playing a melodic sequence. It's not a guitar. Learn to play banjo and you'll see what I mean. In fact you should take up banjo anyway. It's fun.
@JustClaude1311 жыл бұрын
Sounds great. But you can't play banjo while you walk her down the aisle.
@BanjoPars11 жыл бұрын
This is your daughters wedding. It is her decision. Are you deliberately trying to spoil her day. BTW, I play 5 string and tenor banjo.
@mikeblarney417411 жыл бұрын
Ha, very funny, especially the part about getting the chords right. Chords smords. You obviously know nothing about bluegrass interpretation. This guy nails it. Let's see you do it. Jealous much?
@AjaxWolf111 жыл бұрын
It's her day, not yours. If she said "No thanks" then RESPECT HER WISH!
@flatfoot5011 жыл бұрын
Keep it up, man. Just a little more and your daughter will come to resent you for the rest of your life. Get ready for a life without grandchildren. And besides, you are nowhere near getting the chords right.
