This Jiggy is very stressful. Even if you know the fastest path to the Jiggy you can still have a hard time because you tend to make rather loose turns while swimming which could end up causing you to be trapped in the fan blades and if they reactivate you are stuck there until you either hit the blades which defeats you instantly or you run out of air. I got this Jiggy with one second remaining and I got out just in time. I also barely made it to a crate before I ran out of air. The game developers really got a bit carried away with the difficulty of this one Jigsaw Piece. None of the others really gave me that many issues. At least the one in the factory area with the gears and fans is possible as long as you take your time and make your way carefully past the mechanisms. This though you don't have time for that because you are on a timer and have to haul your sorry butt to the rear of the ship and get the Jiggy before the fans reactivate and the moving gears over bottomless death pit in the first section does not help at all. It's funny because none of the bosses come to this level of difficulty not even the final boss. This one Jiggy makes the Grunty boss look like a joke.

It took me 2-3 attempts to get this Jigsaw Piece but the Grunty boss took me over 10 tries because of how stupid the collision detection was.

In a casual playthrough, your best plan of attack is to actually do the Engine Room first. This way you only need to recollect those notes if you happen to die in there, as opposed to fetching all other notes around the Bay. It’s probably worth mentioning that you can get a better view by centring the camera behind Banjo with the [R] button, and holding it down makes the camera stay behind Banjo. Something else also worth mentioning that the game DOESN’T tell you*: When underwater or flying, holding the [R] button greatly increases your turning circle, making tight turns significantly easier! * This isn’t mentioned in-game or in the Instruction Manual. The Xbox 360 version fixed this and Bottles DOES tell you about the [R] button trick when you fly & swim for the first times.

Seriously, the ONLY reason this part was hard for me was because no matter how I jiggied (ha) the camera around, it would always make me do the jumps at an angle, which made it twenty times harder. Wish I'd seen this before completing it today...

The level as a whole was a massive difficulty spike as a kid. Poisonous oil water that depletes air while on the surface. Giant layout, fan blades that OHKO the player, random sharks, port holes that attack the player, stoves, and the video in question.

I don't know why they say this is the hardest, for me it was Clanker's Cavern jiggy the one at the bottom of the water, where you have to breathe air bubbles damn, I always asked for my brother's help on that one

That one's easy enough if you ONLY go for the jiggy and don't bother with following the fish for bubbles, dive to bottom, and if you're on the wrong side for the jiggy, surface get air, then dive a different side. I found trying to get into the pyramid with the Turbo Talon Sneakers hard on Gobi Desert.

Guide: make sure to turn off the gears by going to the back of the ship by the giant gate by going in the pipe on the right side looking away from the gate. Press the button to slow down the gears. No worries, you aren't timed. Anyways head inside the engine room located at the base of the giant pillar. Head down the pipe At the basement, head towards the opening Now here the hard part: Warning:if you fall at anytime, its instant death making your notes reset. So be sure that you save this for last. But for Xbox users, your notes does not reset after death so yeah. Make sure you take your time and not to rush this. Make sure that the gears have slowed or completely stopped before going. Right button slows the fans at the front. Left button stops the fans at the fans. You have a timer so quickly head there. But a word of warning: touching those blades at any time is instant death. Timer: 65 seconds

You can actually get behind the propellers through a glitch that is very difficult to do. It took me about an hour. It involves wall flipping in the exact right spot and frame. Unfortunately, the only way to get out from behind the propellers if you cheat in that way is to die.

On the original n64 version, yes, absolutely the hardest. Xbox version, not so much. Still a challenge though. I think I had the most trouble with bubblegloop swamp. 2 jiggies, the tiptup memory game and that blasted jiggy that's at the end of the maze on that super small platform on a timer.....
