Great overview. Coming from the guitar to the tenor banjo (and recently, the plectrum), this is completely logical. Check out some of Harry Reser's work, such as "Lollypops" and "Crackerjack", and you'll hear (from the 1920s) the similarities between single string flatpack/tenor style and the way it has been developed from Don Reno through today on the five string. In fact, give a listen to "Feudin' Banjos" (the tune the more famous "Dueling Banjos" was taken from) to hear this in one tune, with Don Reno on the five string tracking licks with Arthur Smith on tenor.

Pickles for president!
@2idiotsandacomputer Жыл бұрын
While the idea of "pickles for president" may seem amusing at first glance, it is ultimately a ridiculous notion that should not be taken seriously. Here are a few reasons why: Pickles are inanimate objects: Pickles are not living beings and therefore cannot hold political office. It is absurd to suggest that an inanimate object could run a country or make decisions that affect the lives of millions of people. Lack of qualifications: Even if we were to personify pickles and consider them as candidates for president, they lack the necessary qualifications and experience required for such a role. Being delicious and popular does not make one suitable for leading a nation. Seriousness of the presidency: The presidency of a country is a serious and important position that requires someone with the knowledge, skills, and temperament to handle complex issues and make difficult decisions. It is disrespectful to the office of the presidency to suggest that it could be filled by a pickle. Distracting from real issues: When we focus on ridiculous notions like "pickles for president," we take attention away from the real issues and challenges facing our country. Instead of engaging in frivolous discussions, we should be focusing on finding real solutions to the problems that affect our society. In conclusion, while the idea of "pickles for president" may be amusing in a lighthearted context, it is ultimately a ridiculous notion that should not be taken seriously. We should focus our attention on the serious issues facing our society and leave the pickles to be enjoyed as a delicious snack.
