I want to pay for the lessons, but quick question.. is everything in tabs? I read music and play piano. Or is the tabs for finger picking melody? Or do some correspond with certain chords? I know some mando chords.. I’m unfamiliar with reading tabs.. but, I can learn…. Thanks

Hey buddy! Yes, they're tabs but I have lessons on how to read them. But even then, it's easy to convert the tabs to standard notation if you wish. I'd be honored to have you!

Well, actually I would do it in both keys :) Please search KZbin for "Doc Watson Jack Lawrence Black Mountain Rag". Doc plays it in the C position capo'd 2 (key of D), then Jack plays it in the key of A (even though he's on guitar). I kind of did that on purpose because I sounds so cool to have the key change! Let me know if that doesn't make sense :)

Ben, I was learning this song from the guitar video and I was excited to see it for Mandolin, my daughter was going to learn it on mandolin but the two lessons are in different keys. What should we do to play it together. What would be easier you think, for her to switch to C or D key?
