Bank Catfishing on Lake Lewisville at Sycamore Bend and Harbor Grove Park

Fished Lewisville yesterday and today, using bluegill (cutbait), skunked both days; they seem to be slow this year. On a brighter note, both days maxed out on White Bass, they were all about 11" to 15". Put 25 each day in the deep freeze. My fishing partner caught his limit on day one and came close on day 2 with 18. I need to catch some nice blues for a neighborhood fish fry. Thanks for sharing the location, we were busting the Whites over at Westlake Park Hickory Creek, a lot of people were laying into them. I was using a blue/green rooster tail caught limit in about 1.5 hours. Folks just follow the birds.

Nice! I have caught a lot of channels out there about that size on jugs. Worth frying but just barely, hoping for a bit larger. never caught gar out there though.

Anywhere is good there. The old dam is vert good. I was using fresh cut shad.
