Very nice! Hope you were using something bigger than 4 pound line in that mess. I would have nightmares about using 4 pound in that jungle and then hooking a toad only to see it break my line.

That's a thick mat they under. Those 2 perfectly positioned logs will keep that mat in place for awhile. They'll be there for a few minutes 🎣

great job. how do you know when a piece of structure is worth dropping on? i've been creek walking a lot recently and see things that seem like it should be loaded but i can't get them to bite for the life of me.

I honestly do not keep a lot of fish. Most of the time, I will string them up and not getting enough and end up letting them go or give them away to others on the banks. I just don’t film that as I don’t do it for attention. When I do keep fish, they usually go to my in laws and my MIL’s sister.

These fish were pre spawn. Not actually spawning but will be soon. I think things are about to really pick up. I feel the rain has hurt the crappie spawn a lot this spring
