Actually it is a bobber, float & popping cork. How the angler uses it dictates what its called. . Can't just eliminate its many uses cause you use it only 1 way.

No it’s not. It’s literally called a popping cork because it is designed to be popped. It’s not a normal float or bobber. It has beads and typically weighted beads as-well that clink together and make noise when you pop it. That’s why it’s called a “popping cork”.
