So aspirants should think twice before choosing banking, they should have minimum interest in the banking operations and Financial World. Short term - ssc - not much work pressure except for certain posts, handsome salary, transfers aren't there that often I guess (plz check with someone), promotions are slow, can not change career midlife. Long term - bank - initially it may be hectic, you may not experience good work - life balance, salary & perks are good. Promotions are fast & by the time you reach midlife things may ease out & if you want you can switch to private sector & get into investment banking, do an MBA from a good college & look for opportunities in private sector etc
