I will be applying for a 6 months certification (Medical Coding and Billing) in a community college or may be in a University in USA because that certification is nowhere available here in Pakistan. I have my finances ready and I am already a bachelors student in Pakistan so don't want to study Bachelors or Masters there, I just want to do that certification to boost my career here in Pakistan. Hi Malhaar! I've been given acceptance from SCSU Summer'24, now the university is requiring 6 months bank statement with closing balance of 24,647 $. As the university just required the amount to be present just as closing balance even if was deposited 1 week before. Now, if I got the visa interview with that I20 and with a bank statement where majority of the amount was deposited 20 -25 days earlier. Will it have a negative effect on Visa ? Should I defer my admission to fall'24 and keep the amount up and running all the 6 months and then get i20 and then apply for visa in Aug?

A simple answer for those asking for Bank Statement amount, just multiply the Total Cost of Attendance amount by 1.3times or 1.5 times to get an ideal estimate of strong Bank Statement.

You can transfer from community college to another university. And it's not easy to find job and get sponsored

It varies. Depends on what benefits your university has given you. Have they given you accommodation or food etc. if not they might ask for a bank statement for that those things.
