700th Commemoration March for the Battle of Bannockburn

Patriotic Scots marching from Stirling Brig to the Bannockburn Battlefied to commemorate this victory some 700 years ago. Music from Duncan Brown, Ted Christopher & Strathaven Pipe Band.

I was invited to come to this and could have gone, but unfortunately I had scheduled myself to see Norham Castle and Berwick-Upon-Tweed for the sites associated with the First War of Independence. While I don't regret seeing those sites (I live in the US, so not sure how often I'll get to make it over there), I do kind of wish I would have been able to attend this and march with my fellow descendants of Scottish patriots who fought at Bannockburn. Creag an Tuirc! Alba gu Brath!

Whats way the kilts, they never wore kilts at that time and most of Scotland never wore them at all, bloody myth making at its best

The kilt is a symbol of Scotland as it was banned after the last Jacobite Rising when the British government smashed Scotland yes we have it back but only because England wanted us to feel united and when there was no longer a threat of another Jacobite rising again they beat us so we would remain in the union forever they banned the Gaelic language aswell and many were forced to Canada and America
