Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Brunei and Singapore is a deliberate attempt of India of Act East Policy. In addition New Delhi have laid out Red carpet for Vietnam and Malaysia. The visit to Brunei was first ever bilateral visit by any Prime Minister of India, that bring Brunei on hosting ISRO's station. During Singapore visit the spotlight was on semiconductors. As India seeks for technical expertise, Singapore on the other hand looking for viable option in contrary to its increasing land and labor cost. India's Exit from ASEAN-led RCP was a big blow to its relation and trade with ASEAN countries. India must reset its ties with this region keeping in mind the modern geopolitical issues and opportunities.

Last week PM Modi's visit to Brunei and Singapore revealed a deliberate focus on Act East policy. Modi in his third tenure is trying to strengthen its trade and technology sectors. So that this year he will be visiting various ASEAN countries. Though India and Brunei do not have any strategic partnership, they started discussion on defence and geo-strategic issues. On the other hand Singapore is a robust country to manufacture semiconductor chip and Singapore is seeking for cheap labour and land to expand its trade. So , PM Modi visit there to grab this opportunity because Singapore and India both are fit for each other . As there are some international issues like U.S and china's influence in global market so India may face hindrance . Thank you!

As we saw last week prime minister Narendra Modi's visit to Brunei and singapore was a part of intended focus on India's ''Act East'' policy by the government of in its third tenure. Mr. Modi's visit was the first bilateral visit by any Indian Prime minister. This neglect of ties with a country that has strategic ties with the U.S, trade ties with China and situated in the middle of ASEAN. He is anticipated to travel to Laos for the ASEAN-India summit, the philippines, and Indonesia, later this year. Besides New delhi has laid out the red carpet for the Prime minister of Vietnam and malaysia. The message to reconnect with each of the countries in South East Asia, as well as build up new ties, is well considered and overdue. Expectation for more intense exchanges in technology, trade and investment can be realised only if the Indian ASEAN engagement is more incorporated. thank you so much mam 8/9 .

Recently, Mr. Narendra Modi visited Brunei and Singapore. In Brunei, both countries renew their space cooperation. This deal depends on Brunei hosting an ISRO station. In Singapore, India called for semiconductors because Singapore is known for its technologies and electronics supply chain. Nowadays Singapore’s investment in India is slumping so these contracts are good for enhancing Singapore’s investment in India. If India wants to improve technologies, investment, and growth, it must renew various treaties with Singapore and many other countries. thank you miss

1- In his third tenure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited to Brunei to strengthen ties between two countries and discussed defence, space cooperation, energy cooperation and geo-strategic issues as the relation was neglected after massive Oil imports from Russia since 2022. 2- In Singapore, Mr. Modi emphasized on Semiconductors as Singapore is a major player in chip making process and has expertise on it; this could revive the Singapore's FDI in India. 3- Later this year, He will visit other ASEAN-nations such as Laos, the Philippines, Indonesia to forge the relation in the name of Act East policy. 4- Fingers crossed, this policy will establish relations with ASEAN nations like India used have back in thousands of years.

Due to our increased oil imports from Russia, the imports from Brunei have decreased significantly. The main deal with Singapore was about semiconductor chips. These strategic ties with the ASEAN countries will also save India from the American protectionist policies, and China's predatory measures. Today's Editorial Summary Last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Brunei and Singapore, focusing on India's "Act East" policy during the government's third tenure. A major priority for India was to gain technical expertise in the field of semiconductors, with Singapore being a key player in the global supply chain. Discussions also addressed strategic defense issues and efforts to strengthen relations to mitigate risks arising from U.S.-China tensions over Taiwan, American protectionist policies, and Chinese predatory practices. This enhanced cooperation could help reverse the recent decline in Singapore's FDI levels in India. The Modi government is now focusing on improving the country's strategic, economic, and geopolitical conditions through such initiatives.
