The reason why the catfish looks like that is because a bigger catfish will suck the eggs out of the smaller fish and it will pull some of the hide off. I’ve seen it in person on limb line

Flair, next time you go after catfish running juglines, try using either raw chicken livers or beef livers. Chicken livers and gizzard work the best in my opinion. We've been using them for over 35 years Gere in Tennessee and have always caught more than enough to share with friends and family. All you do is let the livers and gizzard bake in the hot sun a few hours so their warm and even more stinky, put it on your hooks and check on them about evert 4 to 6 hours or the next morning even. Give it a try, I promise you won't be sorry. As an alternative, try frozen shrimp. Just let them get warm and set them out as bait

We used to use chicken liver as well back in the day we would put a piece of it in a piece of panty hose stayed on the hook a little bit better it’s amazing how everywhere in the world everybody can have a different technique or the same still catching catties off the liver my pops used to have a jar that would make you damn near puke when you went to get a live out of it good ole days

I've had bank lines pulled in by monster cats especially off a sandy beach area and I allways throw a treble hook on a fishing pole and just keep casting. You would be surprised how many times I've hooked the bank line string and pulled in huge cats. I allways keep a pole with a treb hook in the boat, even reeled in poles that had been pulled in too. Here in Idaho, Mayo-chup is fry sauce and it good on just about everything if you add some bbq seasoning of any kind. Fish n chips, chicken strips, any variations of a potato.... it's bomb. Highly recommend

I with you Flair on the pretzel things that Jake and Banjo both swore wasn't actually a thing. Sucking off a Pretzel is 100% a common thing 😂 really anything with that kind of tasty flavoring on em. Also the mustard dipped pretzel, specifically soft pretzels is a huge thing. One of the most common dipping and flavorings for them. I've never been a soft pretzel guy myself, nor a big mustard guy, so I've never been into it but most love it.

You really need to try putting the whole fish head on a hook. I've done it many times fishing for Big Catfish. The biggest Cat's I've ever caught were on the hook with the fish head of a carp or sucker! 😊 🙏

Omg these guys are physco paths for never having a pretzel dipped in mustard! It’s the only way to eat a pretzel. The pretzel with the salt and the mustard all compliment each other!
