Hello, here in the FOREST OF DEAN in the UK oak trees are dying off everywhere, it has been established that european beetles etc are responsible. Ash dieback, Dutch elm disease has devastated these species inth last 40 years, a list is shown on the WOODLAND TRUST site. Regards Alan.

I thought Ben was working at a college in KY? I have lost oaks over the years. One year during a bad drought I lost some big white oaks and most of the big red oaks that I had lost had a top full of mistletoe.

Some kind of tiny beetle is killing Hickory trees here in S.E. Louisiana.
