Thank you! I did the same thing and saved up to pull the trigger on all of these items at once. I have been able to put a few miles on the truck since getting everything on and I am super impressed 👍 you can definitely feel improved throttle response. Hoping to do the comparison video here in a couple weeks after putting a few more miles on the truck! I appreciate the feed back! Have a great evening.

Thanks for the videos! Appreciate you suffering thru the heat to do this. Have you noticed an fuel mileage increases? I've got the same setup on order but I'm debating on if its truly worth the expense and time. I installed the Ag solutions module and my mpg went from 17 Hwy to 22. It's been the absolute best thing I've ever done to any truck I've owned. I was hoping the banks setup would help mpg since I race motorcycles and pull a trailer a lot. Thanks for your feedback

@@boomersuperbike3787 I am glad the videos are appreciated! So when I drove from North Houston to San Antonio my truck was running 21 MPG on the highway. This was well before any upgrades. That is also a good drive as well. I also was not pulling a trailer at that time. Now to current, usually my truck would sit between 14.5-16 ish on normal day to day stuff. I have been trying to get some drive time on everything before I do my test run but so far it is sitting at 16-17.5 on the day to day. I had to take a drive this past Thursday and went about 68 miles round trip and the MPG was steadily on the rise so I can not wait to do my test run. My test route is about 80 miles round trip. I wanted to really see where things stand. This is the same route I took to get the baseline and it was not bad. I will go over all of that in the review video. I will say this though, throttle response and turbo spool definitely seem to be enjoying these upgrades. You can really feel a power difference in the top end and on initial take off. I agree with you, these are some pricey upgrades but so far, I am not disappointed! I enjoy doing my own work on stuff because when something goes wrong, I know how to fix it! If you enjoy working on stuff I think you will enjoy doing these installs. I will say this on the boost tubes, the one going to the monster ram, make sure it is in the right orientation because that tube is very similar on both ends but one side is ever so slightly more turned. There is an indentation on the fender to allow the stock boost tube to clear and the Banks tube also uses it. If your boost tube is installed and it does not appear to be anywhere near that indentation in the fender it is probably backwards. As soon as I get a little more drive time on the truck I will be doing the comparison! Can not wait to hear how your upgrades go.

That’s no good! I would go through everything, make sure all of your intake plate bolts and monster ram bolts are torqued down. That could cause a boost leaks and throw a code. Like I mentioned in my other comment to you, check the CAI intake sensor and make sure it is installed correctly, check the boost tubes boot clamps and make sure they are tight, installed in the correct orientation (this really applies to the driver side) it can be installed upside down and appear fine but causes a boost leak. I would go back through everything and make sure it’s all good.

The Banks CAI is not compatible with the factory setup and will throw P0402 codes on many new Rams. I have a 2024 6.7 and countless other people had immediate problems with it if you dig into it. Better off with stock, it's actually sealed to the cold intake up top and doesn't have a great big hole in the bottom of the air box.

Very good video. Those pressure clips threw me off when I was trying to install my CAI. Good idea with that tool. (I used a flat screw driver). My Banks CIA worked great for the first 5000 miles then I kept getting P402 code over and over again. Have you gotten that yet? I took my CIA off and put the stock air box back on. I do miss it though and if I knew why it was throwing the code I'd fix the issue and put it back on. I saw on a Banks video they did for their chevy CAI it has a module that plugs into the MAF sensor but Banks doesn't offer that module for the Ram trucks.

Thank you! So far all has been good and no errors have occurred. I looked up that code and it sounds like it has something to do with the EGR having a failure somewhere. That is odd that when you put the stock CAI back on though the issues goes away?

@@thejourniganadventures7391 Yep. From the research I've done too much air is passing by the MAF sensor too fast. I could drive around town and no problem but as soon as I got on the highway "ding"! I hate those chimes the truck makes when the lights come on. However, since watching your video I wonder if I had the arrow pointing in the right direction when I installed it. I never paid close enough attention to see that there is an arrow pointing in a certain direction. Things that make you go hmm.
@thejourniganadventures7391

@@Motleymick yeah that could be a major possibility with that MAF in the correct orientation! It does go in either way and the arrow does need to point towards the turbo. While you have it off shoot it with some MAF cleaner too. Let me know if you try it and if that fixes your problem! So far when I throttle down it doesn’t miss a lick and works as it should. @@timothycuolahansr.971 have you checked to make sure your intake sensor is installed in the correct position on your CAI tube? @@LivingAnExaminedLife I do not tow regularly just here and there. I have not yet towed for 200 miles the most is around 100 pulling a boat. However, that is 50 miles ish each direction. I will keep my eyes on it but I have deleted my truck since this install so I will be able to read the codes if it does throw one. I have run it without towing non stop for 800 miles without a problem though. I am sure the added weight could have caused something to happen. I am working on planning a fishing trip with my family and will be pulling my old 22’ bay boat down to corpus this summer, Lord willing. It’s a tandem axle aluminum trailer and has some decent weight. It will be about a 400 mile round trip. I will see if anything funky goes on

@@thejourniganadventures7391 Best wishes it doesn't happen for you. For me, towing a 7,500lb travel trailer, I've cleared the CEL error at least 5 times with an OBD reader and it always comes back but only when towing, and usually only after about 200 miles. Most of the time, the light comes on when using adaptive cruise control and making a minor adjustment up a hill, and then backing off that adjustment. It seems the computer is sensitive to airflow parameters and tweaking acceleration under load tends to trigger the codes. While the codes are benign, no vehicle of mine will be allowed to operate with a gadget that throws false CEL codes. Hence, the dealer who installed the Banks CAI is going to remove it, and Banks said they'll refund me. They know there are issues with the MAFS it introduces, and they keep promising a "fix" but keep selling this CAI intake knowing it's going to cause problems for a lot of owners in outlier situations, like towing up a hill. As a software engineer, I don't think they can fix this without physically altering the design, and to be honest, I grew tired of the increased turbo whine and breathing noise caused by the Banks CAI. Looking forward to returning to stock!
