Thanks for bringing attention to this. I usually suffer from the same problem of mixing drinks all night and this looks like a great solution. So far I've tried making jam based cocktails, as these significantly reduce workload since you start with fruit infused sugar.

+Jasmine Sailer I was originally going to say NO WAY, but come to think of it I think you could come very close to matching the flavor of this punch without the rum! Aged run really just tastes like a mix of caramel and vanilla. If you cooked some plain white sugar in a hot dry pan until it's melted and golden brown (careful not to burn it) and then diluted that with some water to make a sweet caramel simple syrup and mixed that with lemon juice, vanilla and other spices, I think you would have a drink that would be very close in flavor but without the booze! You would need to add more sugar because rum is very sweet, and caramelizing sugar makes it less sweet. Also, a mix of lemon and lime juice would be really good too. Either way good luck!

ii make my rumpunch with the standard recipe where i live in barbados and its just 1 part sour(lime) 2 parts sweet(brown sugar) 3 parts strong(rum) 4 parts weak(juice or water)
