loved seeing Gunther on, lots of good points around the shifter decks + floodgates. Some people are asking for an oak ban since it stops 2 unfair parts of pure which were reviving a banished jet synchron & reviving poplar for 3 bodies when flamberge hits the gy on your opponent's turn, without hurting other variants too badly. Thoughts on oak?

It feels like a master duel style hit, but really I think hits like that are kinda missing the point. I think the main thing is that while the power levels of the decks addressed by the ban list are lowered, the deck should become more skill testing and skill expressive after the list not less. You have people suggest bans like hq for race and pranks for prank kids in the past and while those hits would certainly have addressed the power levels of those decks it would force then to pivot towards a less skillful play style. Its like spright without elf, the deck lost grind and follow up but went further into the heavy combo set ups that were always the frustrating part about spright, beaver alone could get to sprind bounce melffy negate arc light double cross attach. An oak ban really would force them to play into a stronger turn 1 set up since their follow up would be more impacted, like there are higher ceiling combos that people aren't running right now that oak could be replaced with. An ash and maybe a wanted limit hurts consistency yes, but also forces the skill floor up because you have to play better without extra wanteds or ashes to pivot to when its convenient.

snakes eyes needs a hit but it would be so boring for the only non generic boss monster in the deck to be banned. i would hate seeing baronne borreload only all the time

You can’t just want a card moved on the list and ask an experienced player for an opinion, only for him to say nope. Then decide other cards on the list need to be moved in order for that to happen but you still push the card to be on the prediction list lol wth more like a wishlist
